It's almost Friday friends!
Tomorrow Bob and I head out to Holly,
for a fabulous prim show there Saturday.
Hope to see some of you there.
Will take pics
{remember to take camera this time Janice}
Today I feature my March CupboardScape.
To some this might be a bland display,
but if you are like me...I love wood!
Sometimes called treen.
I love TREEN!
Bowls
Scoops
Pie Peels
Trenchers
Dough Box
Breadboards
I love the patina old wood has.
I love the different sizes and shapes.
I love how each tells a different story.
This big bowl has a rough edge on it.
My guess is someone held it in the same spot each time.
Any thoughts?
I love how pretty wood looks.
I love being a primitive collector
of
TREEN
What prims do you like to collect?
Treen Blessings To All!

Oooh lovely wooden items. I like to collect crockery and prefer to replace broken or damaged new tureens, dishes etc with old ones. Kitchenali is always a fav of mine including old glass jars.
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise! I like to collect crocks too. Janice
DeleteI don't collect much anymore but I do love the old wooden bowls which I have a few. I also like yellow ware and I only have a few of those but I use them like my grandmother did.
ReplyDeleteCathy
I love yellowware myself too! Have a collection of those as well. Janice
Deletelooks like you will have great weather for the show. I have a little show that day but I am sending my friend who likes dolls. She also likes candy, just sayin'. Sell everything.
ReplyDeleteWell we wont =be bringing candy to the show...plus we still have not ordered it for the store yet. We hope to sell lots. We do have the variety saved up. Janice
DeleteLove all your treen. I collect the small treen containers, documents sanders, etc. I am thankful I own several pieces of Peaseware. They are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteWe had a piece of Peaseware that we either sold at Holly or the Breckenidge show. I cannot remember which one. Maybe you bought it form us. Janice
DeleteLove your Treen collection! Like you, I love the stories each piece holds and wonder what kitchens they were in over the decades. Enjoy your Prim show and I cannot wait to see what photos you share and hear all the details!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
Thank you Winnie. No goodies this year. I have many bunny WIP's that never got finished. I was a BAD girl this year. My customers are not going to be happy with me. Janice
DeleteWhat a beautiful collection and a nice variety of treen. Thanks for sharing . Have a great show

ReplyDeleteOh these ARE so pretty. I love the soft buttery feel of old wood like this....with decade after decade of handling. Thats why i love an old house too...to know that it has been held by so many long gone. I have a weakness for wooden dough bowls myself!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment Heather! I so love old houses myself and the stories that have. Janice
ReplyDeletesuch wonderful and pretty primitives! Hope you have a wonderful time at the show! I collect vintage dishware, vintage linens and vintage cookbooks! But I seem to love everything vintage!

ReplyDeleteNot sure how I missed your post, but you know I LOVE old bowls and wood!! Love your display and all of your pieces!! How interesting about that bowl!!! If only it could talk!! Your idea sounds reasonable, too! I have so many collections and seem to love all of them; dark brown and stoneware crocks, baskets, yellow ware, redware, pewter, treen, tomato pincushions, quilts, cookie cutters, to name a few!! lol
Guess I just love it ALL!!!!
Thanks for sharing your lovely collections with us, Janice!
