Our Back Room

Hello sweet blogging friends.
Well I hope everyone has their presents bought
as this was the final weekend before Christmas.
Our family Christmas party was fun.
Good food, visiting and unwrapping presents.
Grands finding their elfs on the shelf.
I always hide four elves so that can find them.
Can you find two that are these pics?

This will be my last post
before Christmas.
For my final post,
this was our back room Christmas cheer.

Santa between the crocks.

A sweet pillow my mom made for me.
Along with family mittens that were handed down to me.

Do you see him?

One of those sneaky elves hiding amongst the tobacco tins.

A bit of red in this dislay.

Now you may notice this tree is not quite finished.
I made sure the grands were able to finish adding to the tree
whilst they were here...and I forgot to take another pic
of the after....

Close up of a few items on the tree.

Another santa hanging watching all.

I want to thank everyone who
both read my posts and comment.
It so means a lot to me that you take the time
to come into my home each and every time.
A big thank you to all!

With that said,
Bob and I are off on a vacation
right after Christmas and I will be unplugging.
No internet...put I promise I will be back
mid January.

Merry Christmas Blessings To All!

Master Bedroom

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
I don't often show pics of our bedroom.
Because it is not finished ....yet.
Ugly brown linoleum on the floor.
Who puts linoleum in a bedroom?
The previous owner used this as a Summer home.
Living by the river, it was easier to clean up
sand with linoleum instead of carpet.
Our whole house was brown ugly linoleum.
Boxes of wood flooring are now in this room
waiting to get installed.

I do have this cabinet in our room.
I had the coverlet piece here before I moved it
to the kitchen for my December CupboardScape.
I so love being able to move things around.

Top of the cabinet.
The walls of this room are white particle board,
which will be replaced with drywall.
The rest of the house was ugly brown panelling.
We have been re-doing room by rom.
Thank goodness...almost done.

Hanging cabinet.

Added a sweet mitten and some leaves to it.

My great grandfathers trunk that came from France.
Before my great grandparents were married,
livng in France my gramma's parents did not want her
to date my grandpa.
They moved to Canada to start a new life and hoped
she would find a new beau.
Well she somehow got a message to my grandpa
and he followed after her on another ship.
They secretly wed here in Michigan and had nine children.
We believe her parents did not want them to marry,
because they were first cousins.

After folding up my blue coverlet,
I also added my newest cross stitch pillow.
I Googled free reindeer and tree patterns,
and stitched them randomly
onto Onasburg fabric and rag stuffed.
I like to give credit to the stitchers who created
these, however I neglected to write that down.
I do apologize as patternmakers do deserve credit.

Well thats a little peek inside our room for now.
Our bedroom redo is the first 2016 project
Bob plans on doing.
Cannot wait!

December CupboardScape

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
Can you believe it is only 11 days until Cristmas?
YIKES
I do have most of my shopping done.
Not wrapped, but at least purchased.
Have to get my butt in gear and wrap as our family
Christmas party is ths Saturday and I am hosting.

Before I feature my last CupboardScape
for the year,
I must apologize for not commenting to everyone from
my last post.
My emails were deleted and I won't say who did it...
but Bob, our kitty Ace cannot get into our emails. LOL
He always blames it on the kitties.

So looking at the comments;
The quilt piece was not made by me.
Thank you for liking the reds.
Plus thank you for taking the time to post a comment.
It does mean a lot.

This final month is X, Y and Z.

Yarn winder.

Yellowware.

More Yellowware.

With a bit of Xmas cheer!
Sorry, I could not think of anything for the letter X.
That goes for the letter Z too.
So for the letter Z
I am going to show you my kitties
taking their daily Zzzzzz's.  ;-)

Ace on the bed.

Shadow in his comfy spot in the cabinet.

Peepers behind the teddy.

That does it folks for the aphabet.
I will continue my CupboardScape's
in 2016 with a little twist...
so stay tuned.

Hall Heaven

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
Hope everyone is doing well.Temps have bee in the mild 40's
and it is suppose to reach 60 by the weekend.

Tonight I would like to show you a peek into our hall.
Sometimes they get overlooked.
In this house we have a pretty wide hall,

Where's The Snow

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
Not that I really mind we do not have any snow yet,
but it is a bit odd.
All weekend we had freezing fog though.
Even this morning.
Freighters blowing their horn to let others
know they are in the river.
Kitties getting wide eyed at me every time they heard one.
Wish I could have taken a picture of that. :-)

Bringing a bit of snow inside.

My lil toy tree by our front door.
Actually the suitcase has the childrens items.

One of the many forest trees
in the living room.
Bob calls our trees being in the forest.
Santa's coat hanging on the hall closet.

Hope everyone is enjoying the festive blogs.
I so love peeking into everyone's homes!

Kitchen Kris Kringle

Good evening sweet friends!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Its been extremely foggy here along the river all day.
So glad to be safe at home now.
We had our Christmas Open House today
at our store and it was a success.
A great big thank you to all of our customers.
Without your support our dream would  be a big flop.

This post features some kitchen Kris Kringle.

The stockings and mitten were up with care.

Gingers waiting for Kris Kringle to appear.

With red poinsettias cheer.

Plum pudding for y'all.

Wishing a Merry Christmas.

A Few Living Room Snippets

Good evening sweet friends.
I want to thank you for birthday wishes.
Yesterday I had my work Christmas party.
Left after an hour to go to our
Blue Water Antique Dealers Christmas party.
At that party my antique friends surprised me
with a big ole chocolate birthday cake.
It was delicious!
The prime rib dinner was good too!!
I do not often get to eat that.

On the way home we drove in a ice snow mix.
It's that time of the year.

Below are a few snippets of our living room.

Just a simple swag on the cabinet door.
Indian corn, cranberry garland, burlap and greens.

Tucked in this vintage Santa postcard.

Another Santa standing guard by the front door.

A tiny tree in an enamel cup on top of a vintage Christmas box.
I so love these boxes. They are much heavier than those
you purchase today. Much to be said for made in USA.
Unfortunately we now live in a throw away society.

Well off to have some more birthday cake.
Enjoy your evening!

Santas And Company

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
Can you believe that this is the last month of the year already?
With 24 days until Christmas.
Then tomorrow is my birthday.

This early German Santa
was my early birthday present from Bob.
I love him soooooo much!
Thank you sweetie!!!

Now for a little bit of my decorating.
My family thought I was a bit crazy,
as I started decorating for Christmas
the weekend before Halloween.
Yeah I know, I was rushing the season....
but since I was not able to decorate that much for Autumn
do to broken toe...well I am compensating for it. LOL

A little display on the cabinet in the hall.

Tiny Tim's crutch.
Tied with a bit of burlap and then I added some cranberries
onto some wire and then formed into a heart.

Then a small display in our living room.
Hope to see more of your decor in the coming weeks...
plus I will have more to show you.

Enjoy your evening.
