Icy And Dicey

And other news around and about.
First a big thank you for those who commented
on Ruth's warm and awesome home!

This morning I made breakfast.
Toasted and buttered english muffins,
with canadian ham, melted cheese and scrambled eggs.
Our version of the McDonald's kind.
Along with crispy bacon.

March came in like a lion here in Michigan.
With rain, freezing rain turning over to snow.

This was our backyard during the snow.

Our side yard. Where the snow ends is the start
of the state land. This is why we have many
critters. It is 1400 acres where we have
fox, coyotes, wild turkeys, deer, opposum, raccoons,
turtles who come and lay eggs in our yard each year.
Plus the many squirrels and birds.

A part of our front porch again looking towards
the state land.

Now for the other news.
We had to get another rug.
Our kitties did not like the other one we had.
They were using it as a litter box.
We do not know why....but we could not get the smell out.
This new rug is a lower ply.
So far so good.

A smaller one at our side door.

The new rug is like our antique one
in our living room. No fluff.
Maybe that's why Ace likes it.

Shadow too.

Peepers is just not liking his pic taken here.
He is giving me the evil eye.

They all do like the other rug now.
Peeps goes behind the couch where it is warm & lays down.
Shadow and Ace are either under the table,
or on the couch...or on us.
All is good now....let's just hope it stays that way.

Today's agenda will be working on my cross stitch.
I promised myself I would finish this old project,
before starting another one.
Will see how long that lasts....

What will you be doing this Sunday?

Sunday Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Brrrrr!! Looks cold to this Florida Gal!!! Those naughty kitties using the rug for a litter box!!LOL!! They are such cute faces, it is hard to be too mad.. I like the new rug too. Hopefully, this one will be safe from improper use. Today, we raked another 15 bags of leaves and did a bunch of trimming. We had several deep freezes this past January and there was a lot of dead stuff to cut back, pull out and clean up. We have more work to go but we have made a lot of progress.
