In A Yellow Submarine.
When I saw this freighter I immediately
started sing that Beatles song.
When I saw this freighter I immediately
started sing that Beatles song.
We All Live In A yellow Submarine.
This is the first yellow freighter I have ever
seen in our big river.
The name of it was
Happy River.
A fitting name as it made me smile looking at it.
The swan near me was watching it too.
Until he spotted me.
For those who are unfamiliar with
mute swans...they can be mean
and territorial.
He was coming towards me...
so I figured it was time for me to leave.
I got back home late yesterday afternoon. My mom and I had a great time on the trail.
The weather was perfect.
The sales were fewer however
I came home with goodes for both stores....
and of course for me.
WAHOO!!!
Friday we met up with my uncle Leonard
(mom's brother)
We had lunch in one of the towns on the trail.
It was a nice visit
with him and his girlfriend Debbie.
We all love Debbie,
but she does not want to get married again.
They have been together now for at least
10 years now.
My uncle was an oopsy baby.
He is just 8 years older than me.
He actually was the ring bearer
for my mom and dads wedding.
Will show my goodies in an upcoming post.
Off to go grocery shopping, then clean
and do laundry.
Fun time over with. :-(
What will your Sunday bring?
Happy River Blessings To All!
Janice
Glad you, your mom and uncle had a great visit. I know well of goose territory and they move lightening fast. Glad you didn't get in a skirmish with it.
ReplyDeleteYes these swans are just like geese. Had a great time with my family. Janice
DeleteLooking forward to seeing all your treasures :)
ReplyDeleteTomorrow's post will show what I bought. Stay tuned. Janice
DeleteI can't wait to see your goodies. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend.

Great weekend! Showing my goodies in the morning. Janice
DeleteThat yellow boat really stands out on your river! Yellow Submarine was one of my favorite Beatles song too. Actually, there were many songs of theirs that I loved. Glad you had a great weekend and family time! It matters to be able to do things with loved ones and enjoy their company as often as possible.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow we are off to Asheville, NC to visit our daughter and then my brother for the rest of the week. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Safe travels to your daughter's. Love Ashville and the mountains. My one nephew is about an hour East of there. Janice
DeleteLooking forward to see all the goodies!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow morning I will show them off. Janice
DeleteGlad you found some goodies. Can't wait to see what they are.
ReplyDeleteYep me too Jacky! Will show them off tomorrow. Janice
DeleteI've never seen a yellow freighter either! They'd be hard to miss!
ReplyDeleteI get Debbie. Rick and I have been together for 23 years and maybe we'll get married when we're very old but for now, this is perfect. Two blocks away, see each other daily but we have our own space. It works like a charm.
Glad to hear how your daily life is. Bob and I married 10 years ago. It is different now for us then our first marriages. We are on the same page and loving it! Janice
ReplyDeleteHi Janice: Sounds like you had a great time with your mom now and in the good old days. Thanks for your visit, I always love hearing from you. We are so lucky that we can look back with fond memories. I know, some are not so lucky..I love the yellow submarine and would be scared to death if that swan was coming for me..Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! Yes some folks did not have it so lucky in their childhood. I was fortunate...and still am. Thanks for stopping by my friend. Janice
