Well am finally feeling better.
Just in time for getting our new windows installed this week.
WOOHOO!
Looking forward to having lower heat bills this Winter.
Today some Fall pics of our hall.
I had an interesting conversation
with a customer on Sunday.
He was in his late 20's or early 30's.
We talked about voodoo, ouija boards, ghosts
and auras.
I believe in it all.
After about 20 minutes, he told me that
I had a good aura and he was thankful he found my store.
I knew he had been in trouble and just wanted
someone to talk to.
I guess I have the gift for gab, LOL
Anyway, I was glad I was able to talk to him.
Closer to Halloween, I will share some ghost stories.
For now I share pics of our hall.
My favorite time of year!
Well back to work.
Still working from home.
Fall In The Hall Blessings To All!
Janice
I love the tree is it corn cob? Nice that young man had you to talk to.
ReplyDeleteCathy
Yes it is a corn cob tree and Bob made it for me. Janice
DeleteThat was kind of you, to talk earnestly with the young man. I want to comment on my favorite decorations, but it would just be a list of EVERYTHING I see that you have up! Especially the cat pillow and the corn tree!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly for your sweet comment! Janice
DeleteI LOVE your decorating style, you just have the touch! I know what I like when I see it, but I fuss and shuffle things around, and then still don't feel like I have it just right. And the gift of gab is a good thing...it makes people feel welcome and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteOh I shuffle things around myself believe me. Plus for Christmas I even have a spread sheet of what I am doing each year. I do ask each customer where they come from because we have a state park near us. Lots of Iowans this year have came in. I love to talk to everyone if they talk back. Janice
DeleteI like the corn cob tree. I was wondering about it and when Cathy mentioned it, I had to enlarge the photo to see it close up.
ReplyDeleteThe young man gave you a nice complement.
Hugs, Julia
Yes the corn cob tree was made by my hubby. I love it! Janice
DeleteJanice, I am always happy to see all your beautiful things. Fall looks more special with primitives, I think. I love ghost stories too but I think the Cottage Witch is worn out so I will love hearing yours..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! Well stay tuned for the ghost stories. Janice
DeleteOh boy, I love a good ghost story! Your good aura is felt through your blog! That young just needed a nice person to connect with and I'm glad you filled that bill. Your decor is perfect for this special time of year! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yaya! I will need to really tell a few ghost stories this year. Janice
DeleteJanice, your unique and creative primitive style is consistently inspiring. I especially love your stories and quips; the conversation with the young customer is a classic example. I admire everything about your cozy home and decorating adventures and look forward to the ghost stories and your Halloween/fall photos!
ReplyDeleteYou really do have "good aura." I love the hall!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary! Appreciate your comment. Janice
DeleteYour hall is quite charming. I love tge stick tree. Did your hubby make it?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennie. The stick for my corn cob tree was a cane that hubby drilled holes in and then I attached the corn cobs. Janice
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you took time to talk with the young fella. So many young people are lonely. I have a young lady who likes to talk to me from time to time. She has so many big dreams.
ReplyDeleteI like the hall.
And I cannot wait for your ghost stories.
Carla
So glad you talk to a young lady too. Sometimes I think they like to talk to a much older and wiser person. I know I like to talk to folks even older than I am. Janice
DeleteDrool worthy as all...and since it doesn't scream "Halloween" (like so much of my decor does, of course, when I do decorate for the holiday), yours will take you through Thanksgiving. Love me a good ghost story.... I have a few myself but have never shared much since I thought people would be scared away. ;-) ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteoops...that was supposed to be "Drool-worthy as always..."
DeleteStay tune for the ghost stories! Janice
DeleteThanks for the Drool worthy comment too! Janice
DeleteCan't wait for the ghost stories. We have one in our house, but he if friendly. I love your hall pictures. Lovely decorating for the season.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet! Thinking about how I will decorate the home for Christmas now. I know am rushing the season. LOL Janice
DeleteHi Janice. Glad you are feeling better. I love your pieced kitty. So cute as is everything you have..Happy Autumn..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy. I have had that quilted kitty for years and there is a part where the stuffing is coming out. Not sure how that happened. Happy Autumn to you too! Janice
DeleteI am late to this wonderful post of Fall in the Hall! I think my favorite is the corn con tree with the little garland. It looks perfect for Halloween too. So happy you are feeling better and weather is fall inspiring up your way.
ReplyDeleteI will gather my “Michigan Girls”for a blog reading of your upcoming ghost stories!! You know they won’t want to miss that!!
Oh my, I hope they enjoy my stories. We got our new windows now and so nice to open them for some fresh air. The others were missing screens and we do not want mosquitoes getting in. Janice
DeletePerfectly prim decorating...as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lauren! Happy weekend to you! Janice
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Janice, on the windows. That's something I could sure use. I DO think your store has a good aura -- the guy was on to something!
