Spring Living

Hello my friends.
Today's post is some Spring decor.
Unfortunately we are unsure today if
we will get more snow, freezing rain,
or rain today. Am hoping for the latter.
Hope you enjoy these pics.

One lil Spring display in the bedroom
my mom stays in.
She will be back tomorrow,
and will stay thru Easter Sunday.
We plan on going out again one evening,
and then enjoy some home cooked meals with her.

In other news,
My granddaughter Mikayla finally chose
the college she wants to go to.
Michigan State University.
Or MSU to us Michiganders.
She wants to major in Forensics,
and they have the best classes here
of the 11 colleges she applied for.
She was accepted at all 11 by the way.
Now I will be honest...we have always
been a Michigan University) U of M Family,
so this is going to be an adjustment for us. LOL
They are the rival colleges here in our state.

Bob and I went up to Port Huron
yesterday to do a bit of shopping.
I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some
stuff for a Christmas project...yeah I know...
complaining about snow yet I want to
make something for Christmas.
Then we went to Kohls for a few things.
Finally went to Comcast...our cable provider.
We got our monthly bill lowered by 75.00.
That's $900 for the year.
So glad my son told us to go.
Then we came back home,
let Tundra out for a bit...then went
to the meat market and grocery store.

Mailed out our checks to both
the IRS and the sate for our taxes yesterday.
It hurt writing those checks this year,
since we owed double the amount from last year.

Today I am going to just sit and stitch
while watching some tv.
Bob has to work the store so I will be solo.

Mid April Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Did you have to remove a service they provide to get the lower price? Heck I pay over $900 after just 3 months of service. But then I have my internet, cell and landline phones, and several cable channels included. Oh, and rent the wifi and recording box from them; so use a lot of their services.

  2. It's looking fresh and Springlike inside your house, even though that snow keeps falling outside! (We're supposed to be snowed on today too - hope this is the end of that!)
I love your bunnies and the touches of blue throughout.
Congrats to Mikayla! She must be a smart one.
Enjoy the time with your mom.

  3. Thanks for the peek at Spring - I always struggle decorating in old fashioned ways with all the pastels that seem everywhere-but they don’t have to be! Love love love that bunny pillow!

  4. Good for Mikayla! I am fascinated with Forensic Science.
Ouch on the cable bill. We haven’t had cable or satellite in 12 years! Just kept going up. The only thing we have obviously is internet that we pay $99 a month on. It used to be 29.99.
I really like your home decor!

  6. Yay for Mikayla. I will enjoy hearing about her studies. It is something I am interested in.

  7. You have quite the fluffle going! I love them all (but that last one really steals my heart). I did not decorate much for Easter at all. I was still trying to catch up with "de-decorating" (as Lauren would say) the Christmas and Valentine's from when I got sick. Besides, I'll be alone this Easter so it really isn't worth it. Enjoy your time with your mum...and Happy Easter!

  8. Sweet spring vignettes. Love the bunny pillow.
Enjoy your mom time ♥️. And congrats to Mikayla. Of course to us Buckeyes, U of M is a much bigger rival than MSU!

  9. Lovely to see all your photos.
We don't have cable so we save even more. :)

  11. I love your bunny with the tulip. Congrats to your granddaughter. I would have loved Forensics - they didn't have it in my day. Enjoy being with your mother. We stream now.

  12. Rick was having tax shock yesterday, too. Loving your pretty spring decor with the blue and white quilts and the bunny. And three cheers to your granddaughter. You'll have to get used to the rivalry! (I can assure you, we're quite nice up here in East Lansing!)
