Good morning Friends.
Happy Easter Eve.
Today is my April CupboardScape.
Hope you enjoy.
The basket of fabric eggs
from one of my previous posts.
A vintage Children's quilt.
My favorite chocolate box filled with faux flowers.
Some ceramic colored eggs I found at
Hobby Lobby years ago.
My newest bunny to an already
extensive bunny collection I have.
She is from Ann Clay,
My Primitive Home.
She lives in a 1700's home
filled with period furnishings and a bit
of whimsy.
This is one of her original pieces that she sells.
Since he is carrying eggs, I thought he would
look perfect here this year.
Who knows where you will find him
in years to come.
I love how this display turned out.
In other news,
to clarify the savings a bit for our
Comcast (Xfinity) bill.
We were being charged monthly for a phone
we never used nor knew we had.
This should be a crime.
It was added in a previous bundle and when
that bundle expired...they just kept charging us...
I was told it was previously taken off.
Partially my fault as I do not look at my bill.
It is online now and I forgot the password.
Then we just went to a different plan,
minus Fanduel which Bob said
he never watched either.
The drunk driver who hit Michael,
was driving someone else's car.
That person cancelled their insurance
back in February, so there was no insurance
on that car.
Michael is basically screwed now.
His attorney stated there is not much they can do.
She went to court and only received
two misdemeanor charges.
I just don't understand all of this?
The kids will be coming over later today.
We will be having Easter dinner with them
and my mom.
Now I can relax tomorrow before heading
back to work on Monday.
Vacation is over. UGH
I hope everyone enjoys their Easter weekend.
Remember the real reason we celebrate.
Mom and I watched Quo Vadis the other night.
I love Robert Taylor movies,
however this one was rather sad.
It was about the Roman Emperor Nero
and what he did to his Christian citizens.
I had taped it and we watched 2 different evenings
as it was a rather long movie.
Anyway, hope everyone enjoys their Easter!
Easter Blessings To All!
Janice
The coverage for that drunk driver is paid for by all of us law abiding folks who pay a 'non-insured' fee on OUR insurance bill. Just like it costs us in taxes and health insurance to cover the cost for those who don't have coverage.
ReplyDeleteThat’s horrible. There just isn’t consequences for those who drive uninsured and get into accidents. As a teen, I remember it was heavily stressed that you need insurance and you can be sued or worse if you are involved in an accident. There are laws in the books they just are not enforced.
ReplyDeleteYour bunny decor is lovely. 🐇 Sounds like you will have a wonderful day tomorrow when family making memories. Enjoy.
Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday.
Happy Easter Wishes Janice and Bob! I hope you have fun with your family dinner tonight and can enjoy a day with a needle in your hand tomorrow. I love your newest bunny! What talent! How frustrating with the uninsured motorist. Something just isn't right there. In Wisconsin, if you are driving with a revoked license (which I assume hers was given her priors), you can go to jail. ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteThe bunny painting is perfect!
ReplyDeleteGrrr on the whole drunk driver situation. I can't believe she can just get away with all of this and poor Michael has to deal with it.
We have our kids coming tonight, friends coming tomorrow.
Happy Easter!
That Ann Clay painting is a masterpiece. What talent!!!
ReplyDeletePoor Michael. All he has gone through and now nothing can be done to hold the drunk driver accountable. Something is wrong with our so called justice system.
Are you counting the days until retirement?
Happy Easter to you and Bob. Enjoy your family time, especially with your mom ;-)
I just love that bunny display and the ceramic eggs. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about the drunk driver. I can't or don't want to believe that Michael has to deal with it alone.
I do hope you can have a Blessed Easter.
We watched the Passion of Christ - it hurt me so much to see what HE went through for us.
Sandie
Love the bunny and your whole display.
ReplyDeleteThat drunk driver should be in jail!!
That's awful about Michael. Could he take her to Civil Court for damages? Perhaps a kickstarter or go fund me call? That's just deplorable.
ReplyDeleteSending all good wishes for al ovely Easter today.
It should be a crime not to have car insurance to cover an accident especially. This issue is here in Missouri as well
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your displays very much.
Happy new week-stay safe
Hugs Kathy
I love your display! The eggs look great with the painting.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about the accident. The person that owns that car should be made to pay. I love the display and that is the cutest painting with those eggs in front. Perfect! Happy Easter and I hope it was a nice day for you.
ReplyDeleteHi, I LOVE the display. You are so creative, I just love it.
ReplyDeleteI am sad about the lack of honest justice in this land of ours. So much fraud going on and bad people getting away with wrong doing.
Praying!!
I love your painting. So sorry your grandson is dealing with this.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Easter was a good one.
Cathy
Your home decor is always adorable. The new bunny is very cute. So sorry about the no-insurance driver situation. Praying Michael is doing well.
