Early Hutch Table

Good morning sweet friends.
Happy Saturday to you all!
Thank you for all of the wonderful color suggestions
you provided....
creams, tans, mustard and blue.
Although I will not be able to use every color on the walls,
this did give me an idea...
hopefully my idea will work. LOL
To give you a hint....still looking for that wool...
but now will be looking for all of the colors you
 wonderful ladies gave me.

Last year we recieved a call from one of our customers.
She wanted to sell her table and when she told us it was pine,
we of course agreed to look at it.
Not only did we buy it..
but we kept it for ourselves and decided to sell
our beloved blue farm table.

Some would call this table just a pine beauty.

Some call this a shoe table,
where you would rest your feet.
Shadow just likes to be a photo bomb.

Then some might think this was a settle bench.

Table hutches were placed facing the fire of an early
American kitchen,
with the back used as protection from drafts.
Another photo bomber (Ace)

We do have a fireplace...just not in the kitchen,
therefore we only use this beauty as a table for now.
So ready to redo the kitchen and get rid of these brown
linoleum floors. YUK
One room at a time though.

Warm Weekend Blessings To All!
Janice

  6. What a beautiful table. I am DROOLING!
I also wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog for praying for my FIL. Last night he fell when he went to the bathroom and hit his head so we are on our way now. Hard subject to talk to him about but we don't think he can drive anymore, so a nurse will come here at his home in our town part time and then I will care for him the rest of the time but he will not be going to his other home at the cape for awhile and when he does we need a full time nurse for him then the weekend we will be down to care for him.
Thank you again friend for your prayers.
    Warm Hugs,
    Tricia

  10. That is such a gorgeous piece of furniture. Smart to keep it. I sold a dough box table once that the top pegged on and wish I had it back!

  12. Hi Janice,
I just LOVE your table!! Our ancestors were certainly clever people, plus they made things that have lasted the test of time and STILL remain beautiful!! Lucky you!!!
I wanted to throw my opinion in the pot about wall color.......a lovely soft gray, since I didn't comment before!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
    Sending warm hugs~
