First I would like to say that I hope all of my Canadian
blogging friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Second it was so cold out this morning that we had our first frost.
Today's montage is a hodgepodge of sorts.
Finally hung our red cabinet in the living room.
This is a Victorian child's dress hoop.
I hung this on the bedroom wall.
Can you imagine having your children wear this?
A corn shuck wreath with a fabric pineapple.
I'm sure most of you know that a pineapple was a sign of welcome.
A dressmakers hand form.
Used to make ladies gloves.
This one is a size 8 1/2.
It was cold enough for a fire yesterday.
A cozy one at night.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Frosty Blessings to All!
Janice
Hello Janice, oh love that fire, throw another log on. Love your hanging cupboard, real nice and prim, as all your goodies are. Cute child's hoop, can' t imagine wearing that. Frosty Blessings To You, Francine.
ReplyDeleteIt was chilly here this morning. Love the fire Janice. Mr. P. just commented last night he needed to check out the chimney. Good to see you are enjoying your fireplace. Can't wait for our first fire. Always so anxious for the first one and by winter's end so proud when we finally can say "no more fires" and up goes the wood screen to hide the fireplace opening. Have a blessed week.

I can't believe that dress hoop survived Janice! How awesome. There is a new show about bidding on old buildings & picking the contents before demolishing the building. I can't watch that one! Enjoying our cornstove too ~*~Lisa
ReplyDeleteLove your red prim cupboard!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine wearing a dress hoop ~ looks like torture!
TFS ~ all your wonderful goods!
Stay Warm
Prim Blessings
