Halloween Display

Well I decided to do one
Halloween display this year.
Its a small one, but nonetheless
here it is.

This antique horn.

Antique paper mache pumpkin.
Doesn't he look spooky?

Vintage cookie cutters.

Bob brought me home this
antique pumpkin a month ago.
Love him.
Added in my handmade witch.

My vintage book I had as a teen.

This is not a vintage or antique pumpkin.
I still love it though.

One year I sold these witch shoes.

The left side of my display.

The right side.

 Mixing in newer items,
vintage and antiques you can
still get the vibe you want to create.
Dont be afraid to be a mixer.
It will work.

In other news,
I was hoping to add in a pic of
the Halloween house,
but they have not put up a display yet.
Am wondering if they chose not to this year.

The covid restrictions have been lifted
at the rehab facility my mom is at.
YAY

My SIL had heart valve surgery Tuesday.
Her heart stopped for 15 seconds.
The surgical team had to perform CPR.
The surgeon also decided to put
in a pacemaker.
She was on a ventilator for 24 hours.
Not sure how long she will be in the hospital.
She is weak and frail.
Please say a wee prayer for her if you can.
Thank you.

Well have to get my butt to work.
Its almost the weekend.

Hope everyone enjoys theirs.

Pre Halloween Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Hello Janice,

Well, small as you may consider your Halloween display to be, it is much much bigger than ours which is non-existent. Perhaps our motto is that life is too short for dusting pumpkins. Nevertheless, you are clearly getting in the mood.

We send our thoughts and prayers to your sister-in-law. A stressful time for you all.

  2. A perfect spooky display-I think if I were a kid “back in the day,” the pumpkins would’ve frightened me a bit! Prayers for your sister-in-law-goodness, hope she’s feeling stronger each day. How can it be Thursday already? Here’s to the workday going quickly for you and that you’ll be back home settled in before you know it!

  3. I never had a mache pumpkin as a kid and never bought one as an adult when they were running around $50. Can't imagine the cost of the antique ones now. Well wishes for both your SIL and mother.

  4. As usual, your display looks great! There's just something about adding the vintage that makes it charming.
    Praying your SIL recuperates quickly.
