YAY
I finished my
Prairie Schooler October.
My mom liked this one as well.
It also reminded her of the pheasants
that use to be on her parents farm.
I so love these funky pheasants!
Prairie Schooler patterns do not disappoint.
Turned my stitching into a pillow.
All the colors of Autumn in this one.
Back side fabric I chose was this brown.
In other news,
They kicked my mom out of the therapy place.
Should say insurance did.
We scrambled to get her into another facility.
I had a feeling they were going to kick her out.
I went Tuesday night after work
to start the process.
Was exhausted by the time I got home.
The next morning they called to say
she no longer could stay where she was.
So glad I started the process.
Just had that feeling she would be kicked out.
Then my brother, sister and I had to move
my mom in yesterday.
She is now in a one bedroom
senior living facility.
We had to provide everything for her room.
We all brought things from our homes.
Bed, sheets, comforter, blankets, chairs,
kitchen & bath items.
We had to bring everything in.
She will be here for 2 weeks...
then go to my sisters home.
We had to place her here because
my sister is going back to North Carolina.
Below a few pics of her new space.
Meals and therapy will be included,
with 24/7 aides to assist her with
anything she needs.
Last night they had trick or treat.
We bought candy.
The facility took everyone's candy and
divided up with the residents to pass
out candy to the kids.
300 kiddos came trick or treating.
It was a long day for my mom.
I think she will like it.
Wish we could keep her here...
however it is a very expensive place.
She had to pay.
They do not accept insurance.
This is just a temporary.
Well have to get to work.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
Friday Finish Blessings To All!

I love the pheasants too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've had still more issues with your moms living arrangements. You have to be tired. I'm thankful for siblings pitched in and helped and now I hope she improves in the next 2 weeks.
Your stitchery design (bottom part) would make a cute hooked rug. Glad you mom looks happy in the picture and hope the plan remains her going to stay with your sister.
ReplyDeleteYour mom looks good and probably relieved. It looks like a nice place even if it is only for 2 weeks. Love that pillow - my dad just to go pheasant hunting in the fall and I was reminded of that by your stitchery.
ReplyDeleteLove your PS finish!
ReplyDeletePrayers mom thrives for the two weeks she is at the senior facility. She looks very happy.
So sorry she had to move for just two weeks.
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is wonderful what a great pattern and just in time too.
