Winter Turkey Trot

Can it be Sunday already?
Where did the weekend go?
Well mine was making carrots.

A few weeks ago,
I saw some turkeys in the snow.
They looked like they were playing.
Doing the turkey Winter trot!
This was my inspiration for this display.

Of course I had to add a rabbit in the mix.

See the turkey feathers?

Add one more.

I love blue and white
together for Winter displays.

With a little greenery.

Another simple Winter display.

Today I am headed to our new store
to do some inventory that we bought for
our little store

Blue Water Gift Shop.

we are legal now.

Our new store will feature
candy, pickled everything
and jams that we currently sell
at our other store.
We will be moving that product over.
Adding specialty coffee and tea,
honey, toffee,
candles, handmades and home decor.

Bob made all of the built in cabinets.
Will show off his craftsmanship
in another post.
He is painting now.

What have you been doing this weekend?

Winter Turkey Trot Blessings To All!

  1. Nice displays in your home and sure it is also great in your store to showcase your items. Love that hooked piece on the wall and guessing it is an antique or did you hook it to look like a well used piece? Either way it is lovely.

  2. What an adventure. I love shops like that. The trend here is to buy local, hand mades - all the kinds of stuff you will feature in your shop. Congratulations.

  3. I like the name! Wish we had some classy near-by stores here. Blue is always going to be a top color.

  4. Hi,
    I follow you # 285 , follow back?

  5. Congrats on the new store! Love the name and I'm sure it will be a big hit! Blue is my favorite color too. This weekend flew by. I feel like I didn't accomplish much but looking back I went into work to help a new employee out, did our usual grocery shopping and errand runs. Taught Sunday school today and had some of the Grandkiddos stop by just to say hi. A lazy, nice day with snow falling. Have a good week!

  6. Congrats on the New store! Very exciting.

  7. What a wonderful name! You'll have to do a grand opening post and all of us in Michigan will find you! I, too, love blue and white for winter (I even changed my blog background to reflect that!) Love your bunny, too.

  8. I love your mix of blues and whites! What a great look!

  9. Hi Janice,
The blue and white is so pretty and love those extra touches and especially that old hooked rug on the wall!!
Great name for your new shop and hope it is a wonderful success!!
Take care and looking forward to seeing some pictures soon!
    Heart Hugs~
