Dinner With Santa

Happy Friday everyone.
Later this evening Bob and I will be setting up
for our New Haven, MI show.
The school is having a volleyball game tonight,
so we cannot get in until 9 this evening.
Will be taking a short nap
as it will be a long evening.

Tonight let's have dinner with Santa.

The plates have been set.

Festive colors of red and pink,
to continue with our Victorian snow theme.

With bowls of Christmas potpourri
throughout the front of the store
to stimulate your senses.

Gram H always use to set
an extra place setting at her table.
She said it was for those loved ones who were gone
to join us if these chose to.

Did you or someone in your family have this tradition?

Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by
and leaving your sweet comments.
I so love reading them...
however for some reason am not able

  1. Love your vintage Santa place settings!! I still have two little old Santa mugs from the 1950s that we used as a family at Christmas. So sweet those old dishes are.

We didn't have a tradition like Gram H but I have heard of others doing that same thing. It is a very thoughtful idea and an opportunity to remember those loved ones who has passed on. Happy Weekend!

  2. Hi Janice! Super cute table - and the potpourri looks delicious, lol. My mom and dad were antique dealers while I was growing up, so our Christmas decor was different from year to year. I wish I had some of the amazing finds they picked up and later sold. When I grew up, they would give me vintage Christmas treasures for my birthday and I have quite a few Santa's from the 40's through 60's. Jane

  3. I love the farmhouse look you have incorporated into your shop! It's so beautiful Janice...you have done such a wonderful job with your displays...I find myself drifting toward farmhouse and leaving the primitive behind...I wish I could have gone to the antique show yesterday...hope you did well!
