Today's cupboardscape are
memories from my grandparents farms.
Both had chickens which laid brown eggs.
When I first saw a white egg I thought there
was something wrong with it. LOL
I tucked in this wire chicken egg basket.
You would always find me in a clover field
trying to find that elusive four leaf clover.
This clover canister was from my gramma B.
She would put tea bags inside.
Of course you would always find the bunnies
eating the clover...when I was not around.
So I had to add one of my iron bunnies.
This crock was stamped with a clover.
A faux pot of clover.
This Spring farm print I purchased in the 90's.
Getting ready for Spring inside.
In other news,
Thursday it rained about 12 hours.
Our driveway looked like a pond because
the ground is still frozen here.
We met friends for dinner that same night.
The service was pretty bad this go round.
Only one waitress and she was messing up
everyone's orders.
It took her 10 minutes to just get me
and my friend another water and soda.
There were only 7 folks total in the restaurant.
It was a Thai restaurant and they even
messed up the spice level of Bob's food.
He was gagging.
We have been there many times in the past....
so not sure what the problem was that night.
Driving home I almost hit a coyote.
It was still raining and getting foggy.
I was driving slower, so was able to brake.
Thank goodness.
Around midnight last night we had
our first thunderstorm.
Of course Tundra had to bark,
which woke us up.
Maybe Spring is around the corner now?
I know the mud season has arrived.
March Blessings To All!
Janice

I sure am hoping spring comes soon. It rained a lot here, but no flooding. Thank goodness. I adore that little clover crock.
ReplyDeleteThink I've mentioned before that I used to have one of those chicken wire baskets with wooden eggs in it. During one of my purging days it went to the thrift shop.
ReplyDeleteI grew up on a farm, so your farm scape is extra special to me.
ReplyDeleteIt rained most of the day here too, and there's water all over because of the frozen ground. The wind and thunderstorms during the night were crazy! Very sad about the bad tornado south of us.
What a lovely way to remember your grandparents and family history. Sorry about your night out -- sounds like a do-over would be a good thing with a few different conditions! We had that terrible rain on Thursday and I avoided basement water but got a huge and relentless storm last night and had two inches in the basement when I went to bed. Much is down the drain now so I can start the pick-up and clean and dry it. Most things (of value) were off the floor but I know I lost a few things. That's probably actually a good thing.
ReplyDeleteLove your clover crock! It feels like spring here in northern Ohio but the rains are supposed to come within the hour. Sure hope it isn't "false spring"!
ReplyDeleteI can see your grandparents farm by viewing your farm scape - brought back memories of mine.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have lots of different water issues up there.
Sorry about the restaurant - one waitress can spoil the whole dinner.
I really like that clover canister that was your Grandmas. I especially love the treasures we get passed down to us, regardless of what condition it is in. So do thunderstorms typically mean spring? We don't get too many - the higher elevations tend to get them in the summertime - mostly just lightning storms. We don't get much rain in the summer.
ReplyDeleteLove the canister and the wire egg baskets.
ReplyDeleteWe hardly ever go to out to eat anymore because when we do we are usually disappointed, except for pizza at Brenda's.
I've missed many days of blog posts - reading and commenting - and probably shouldn't have started here reading about the rain/your driveway pond, etc. I came to the lake to change over the fireplace and found my entire lower level (the same lower level that was JUST completely renovated/remodeled) flooded. It's been a nightmare since. Anyway...pretty spring cupboard scape. That crock makes me stop in my tracks every time.
ReplyDeleteI love the crock!!! Love it all!!! I’m sorry about the dinner!!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, I really enjoy seeing your vintage items-I love crocks especially. so sorry about the poor meal service. Happy new week
ReplyDeleteOh what a treasure to have the clover "tea" cookie jar. Muddy mess for sure. Our dogs paws ... they run the field ... paw prints all over the floor. I didn't wake, but my husband said we had thunder too.
ReplyDeleteWe are in mud season here. It is frustrating to spend $$ to go out and get bad service. The coyotes are moving around here we hear them at night.
ReplyDeleteCathy
Thought about you Thursday- I went back to an antique shop to look over their blue swirl enamelware and was disappointed the sign said “by appointment only” - should have called first I guess. I appreciate your spring inspiration- I struggle with spring, but you’re showing me I don’t “have” to have pastels - thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love the clover canister. It caught my eye right away.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the bad meal and service. My mom just had a similar story to share about a place my sister took her.
Happy New Week!
Carla
Just about every restaurant here (and that is not many) always asking for help from cooks to wait staff.
ReplyDeleteyour collection display of the memories of your grandparent's farm are so pretty! Hope it warms up and dries up for you soon!
ReplyDeleteAfter months of heartbreak with my husband, I found Dr. Disu online and tried his reconciliation ritual because i wanted him back and i still love him. Within days of the casting the spell, my husband reached out, full of regret. We talked, healed, and slowly rebuilt our bond. Today, we are happier and stronger together. I never believed in spells before, but Dr. Disu’s help truly worked for us. I'm forever grateful. His Email: disuspelltemple@gmail.com or Just text him via WhatsApp: +2349052996805
