Meet the Gals.
They are my latest creations
which I call my Woodland Witches.
First up is Soleil ( Sun)
Her outfit is black and orange.
Her hair from raw wool.
Her favorite thing to do in the woods
is to look for mushrooms.
She is hand stitched by me.
Next is Luna (Moon)
She chose an outfit in black and purple.
Strolling along in the woods with
her sister she came upon
this woodland flower that she picked.
She was a bit chilly and wanted
to wear her scarf.
She loves flowers and thus her scarf
just had to have a flower button on it.
Each of these gals were entirely
hand stitched by myself.
I drew out the pattern and grabbed
fabric from my stash.
I had wanted these gals to be for sale
at our store...however Bob told me
last Friday he had already marked down
our Halloween inventory at the store.
Since I don't want these gals to be
on sale right away....looks like they will
go into the vault for next year.
However if anyone is interested
in purchasing these gals,
Just send me an email at
primsbythewater@yahoo.com
It will be first come as I only created
one of each.
Next year I hope to open up
an Etsy shop once retired.
I wanted to make just mushrooms too.
Just never enough time for me.
In other news.
Friday morning my mom
was not feeling well. She vomited
up her breakfast.
The only therapy she did that day was
weights on her legs and pushing a ball
between her legs.
They did not get her up to walk.
Tuesday the therapist was not there,
so no therapy that day either.
They don't have therapy on weekends,
so this is a set back for her.
She told me she does not think she
will get better and was crying.
Am hopeful she was just saying that
because she was under the weather
that day...but who knows.
They drew blood again and we are waiting
on the hemoglobin level now.
With her blood level dropping this may
also cause her to become weak too.
Mikayla has already been asked to
a sorority party.
She turned it down because she
wants to get to know more people
before deciding on anything.
Well have to get my butt to work.
Bob asked me last night why I was
not retired yet.
He was being a smart you know what.
We had a community bonfire and
lo and behold an old neighbor of mine
from my other house came to it.
Have not seen him in 40 years.
Neither of us look like we did back then,
but once we found out...
all of my neighbors were saying what
a small world it was.
How we found out was his wife's name
was the same name of his sister.
Her and I hung out during high school.
When I mentioned to her I knew someone
with that name...that's when it clicked.
Unfortunately his sister had passed away
years ago.
It is such a small world when you think about it.
Woodland Blessings To All!
Janice
Your Witches are darling! And I will pray for your Mom...
ReplyDeleteI love your witches-that would be awesome to have an Etsy shop-I had one years ago for awhile-I do a lot of shopping there-but they did let in Chinese-ugh so have to be careful and search out the store--happy new week
ReplyDeleteYour witches are cute and I think an Etsy shop would be perfect for you. I'm sorry about your Mom and all these issues she's been having. I can see why she's feeling discouraged.
ReplyDeleteThe bonfire sounds fun and it really is a small world!
Sorry about your mom. Hope it was just her feeling bad that day as she cannot give up. I often remind myself what Clint Eastwood's mantra is "don't let the old man in". I'm fighting to "not let the old woman in".
ReplyDeleteSending good wishes for your mom. I’m sure that some days recovery is slow and it’s upsetting when she can’t make her body do what her heart and head want it to do. Time and patience and encouragement - maybe there’s something for her to look forward to that will give her a boost? Good for Mikayla - a smart and sensible young lady!. And the little witches are so clever-what talent you have!
ReplyDeleteHi, I am praying for your mom.
ReplyDeleteMikayla made a good choice I think. I am praying for her too.
I love the witches. :-)
Soleil and Luna are so cute! I hope they find good homes...and maybe even they could stay together. My little grand is in love with the moon. She calls it "Moona" (cross between moon and luna I guess) and goes out most nights to say goodnight to it. I, too, am continuing to pray for your mom. It must be so very frustrating to her. Hope she turns a corner soon...and they get to the bottom of the hemoglobin issue.
ReplyDeleteI love your witch girls - can't believe you made them yourself.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your sweet mom.
