Sunday Starts

Today's post I am showing you

two new starts. 

I first cut out the shapes.

Do you know what I will be sewing up?

If you guessed an acorn, you were correct.

A few sewed up waiting for their stems.

One finished.

I added a chenille stem so it can be bendable.

Wait until you see how I displays these

in my upcoming Autumn decor.

Next I pulled out this pattern 

I purchased last year called

Hello Fall by The Scarlett House.

I started this on my lunch hour Friday.

This is a one hour progress.

Am using my own colors from stash.

Will totally be different from the pattern.

For the words am using Swamp Water.

You may think swamp water would be green.

Mine is a dark brown with a hint of some

very dark green in it.

In other news,

am still trying to catch up on my blog reading.

Thank you to everyone for their comments.

from my last post.

Since my last post, my SIL had to have

throat surgery for cancer.

Because of the cancer diagnosis,

they now took her off the transplant

list for a kidney.

She also has night blindness now.

My mom was given an extension.

Monday they will review again whether

she gets to stay or not.

This will be a week by week basis now.

Just sad to have this hanging over our heads.

Good news is she has begun taking baby steps.

Bad news is her hemoglobin has gone

down to 8.0 now.

They drew blood again Friday,

so we are waiting to find out the results.

I have been visiting her 3-4 days a week.

It takes me an hour each way to get

there and back from my home.

When I leave after work, it makes for

long days.

 Anyway am going to catch up on

my household chores and maybe get some

stitching in.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

We finally had a small thunderstorm come

in the wee hours this morning. Much needed.
