This is my favorite room this year
for my patriotic decor.
I so love just sitting in here and taking
it all in.
I hope you enjoy the pics.
In other news,
the other night around 12:30am
Tundra wanted to go outside.
When Bob put him on the leash and
went outside in the backyard
he heard the weirdest scream.
Tundra was spooked too.
He quickly did his business and wanted inside.
Once inside Bob started hearing the screaming
in our front yard.
Tundra kept barking.
It woke me up.
Bob came in the bedroom and I said
"What is Tundra barking at?"
He said open the window.
It is screaming in the back now.
So I opened the window.
I thought it was bigfoot or a cryptic
of some kind.
It truly sounded like something out
of a horror movie.
When I got up for work,
I googled what animal would scream at night.
It came up with a You Tube video.
A video of a red fox screaming.
I played it...Tundra started barking again.
It was the sound I had heard.
When I got home from work, I again played
it for Bob.
He said yep that was it.
It seems that a fox will scream if it is
in distress, telling another fox this is his territory,
or looking for a mate.
Since it is not mating season,
that leaves 2 of the three reasons.
Yesterday was my dad's birthday.
He would have been 96 if he was still alive.
I called my mom to see if she was alright.
She was.
I still miss my dad all these years.
I am on vacation next week.
Plan I crafting up some Halloween
to sell for the store.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Patriotic Blessings To All!

I have heard that scream from the woods here before, was inside but knew what it was. Have you ever seen the music video or heard the song ..."what do the fox say"?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation.
Your Patriotic Decor is beautiful and I think the patriotic theme is perfect with your Primitive style.
ReplyDeleteThe fox howling sounds very eerie! I get freaked out enough when there are cats screaming outside...
I miss my Dad too - he would have been 94. Hugs to you.
Enjoy your vacation!
I love anything and everything patriotic. Beautiful. God bless America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
ReplyDeleteI have never heard a red fox (or any fox for that matter) scream. That had to be eerie.
Enjoy your vacation. How many days left until the big R?
Love your room,it is beautiful and the samplers are amazing. I have never heard a red fox but it might make a great sound effect for Halloween lol. Enjoy your vacation, hope something fun is happening. Can't wait for your work to show up in the store
ReplyDeleteThat scream would scare me to death. I love your patriot room and your curtains - so unique. I think we will always miss our parents and how nice you still have yours.
ReplyDeleteI love your patriotic room-you would be perfect to spruce up the white house-hugs.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the screaming might have been a bobcat-wouldn't have thought a fox would do that.
enjoy your week off-hugs
Yes, your room is wonderful and cozy. I too miss my Dad. He was a great Dad.
ReplyDeleteYour home is always so beautiful and very summer festive. That's creepy about the fox. I hope it was just mating not injured.
ReplyDeleteYou have decorated that room nicely and the primitive patriotic decor almost brings you back to earlier times. I’d love to sit in the room as well - taking it all in.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t know that about the Fox. That would have given me the willies. I just saw a Fox run across the road near my house.
My dad has been gone now 18 years and my mom 17 and my sister since 2015. I miss them all terribly.
