Hello Friends.
I love this month.
I so love being Patriotic.
Hope you enjoy more red, white and blue.
In other news,
Mary from Windy Meadow Farms
asked me about my thought on seances.
I oppose them.
Would NEVER want one performed
in my home or business.
Carla from The River
asked how we got the paranormal to
want to visit our store.
The person who formed this group
came to Bob and simply asked
if his team could come in and
do their thing.
Bob agreed.
We did not give them any information.
We wanted to know if they could
really tune into our ghosts.
They did not disappoint.
Cathy from Acorn Hollow
said she sometimes smells cigarette smoke
in her home.
The day my dad passed away,
my mom and my kids went shopping
the next day to get a nice suit for my son.
Everywhere we went that day.
I could smell the Old Spice he always wore.
I mentioned it when we got home that evening.
Both my mom and my kids said they smelled it too.
Coincidence???
made me chuckle at her response.
She never believed in ghosts,
but her intentions when she leaves this world
is to become one.
Thank you everyone for your comments.
I so loved reading each and every one.
So lately driving to work in the mornings,
I decided to count the number of trucks
going back towards my small town
in the first half hour of my drive
that were heading out fishing.
The average for the week was 12.
Am sure there were more, but
that's what I counted on my way to work
in that timeframe.
Monday I decided to count how many bridges
I had to cross on my way to work.
The little things I do in my hour travel.
Well I went over 10 creeks & 2 rivers.
12 bridges in total.
Tuesday evening I decided to finally
go out on my dock.
Have not stepped foot on it since 2019.
Why would I not go out with this beautiful view?
Stupid me. I know.
This is the view looking up river.
Looking downriver.
Finally across the river.
This is Canada.
Unfortunately no freighters to be seen.
I told Bob I am going to try and make a point
to go out once a week now.
It felt nice.
Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary.
This is our 16th year.
It was a second marriage for us both,
but my how the time has flown by.
Must get to work now.
Summer Time Blessings To All!
Janice
I love this month and patriotic decor too. And - it goes so well with your primitive design! Your home looks magazine worthy again!
ReplyDeleteLove Mary from Hill Top Post's comment! :)
You have a beautiful view from your dock. You do need to enjoy it.
Happy Anniversary!
If I lived that close to the dock/pier I'd go some days with a fishing pole to catch dinner.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, I enjoyed your post I always had at least an hour commute too for work-ugh. wow that is awesome you have a dock on the water-do you both fish?
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your patriotic displays
Ghosts. My opinion is unpopular but I was heavily into the occult before Jesus changed all that for me. I’ve had “encounters” in the past and they are NOT ghosts. They are demons. It got so bad they started messing with my little boys. I had been so open minded my brains fell out. I opened doors that were never meant to be open. But I know many Christians who dabble in all of that. One reason I am a kill joy at Halloween. Oh the stories I could tell but honestly, it was a dark time in my life.
ReplyDeleteI too like Americana, flags, quilts, hooked rugs. Love it all. I especially like the very first picture. Simple, yet lovely. Lovely old crocks. It sounds as if you have a very long commute. They does not sound like much fun. but spending time on your dock does look like a fun and relaxing way to unwind.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU. I love the colors of red-white- and blue too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignettes and of course I always drool over your crocks!
ReplyDeleteI can’t believe you hadn’t been on the dock in 6 years! That you and Bob don’t enjoy the beautiful views in the evening, even if just for a few minutes.
Happy anniversary. May you be blessed with many more!
Thank you for answering my questions and all the other questions.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!!
I do hope you will continue to share your views with us, it is beautiful!!
Happy Anniversary to you and enjoy that beautiful view on your dock ! I would enjoy my coffee sitting out there , my lunch & hooking out there & Happy Hour !!! Enjoy !!!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing on the road -- count! What a great view you have -- both inside and out. I love hearing about the ghosts. I find it fascinating.
ReplyDeleteLove all your patriot decor.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary.
Happiest Anniversary wishes to you and Bob! I hope you take time to celebrate. I never tire of the red, white and blue - and yours looks beautiful. Like Lauren, I love your crocks (and that Old Glory picture on your mantel!) How did I not know (realize? remember??) that you were THAT close to the river???! Wow...can't believe you've not been on your dock for that long. How is it maintained? Do you leave it in all year long? A dock would never last that long in our lake that long that's for sure.
