Good afternoon sweet friends.
Since we will be leaving for our buying trip
in a few days...I thought I should feature
my September CupboardScape before leaving.
Since we will be leaving for our buying trip
in a few days...I thought I should feature
my September CupboardScape before leaving.
A bit of Autumn.
Hanging from left to right.
Cowpeas, okra, mule muzzle, hydrangea wreath,
indian corn and my bunny ditty bag.
Bob and I purchased some awesome script crocks.
I decided to keep one which is on the left.
The crock on the right is a hair tonic one.
Do you notice how green that okra is?
The dealer I bought these from at Holly
told me the secret to keeping it green
while drying is to keep it in the dark in a cool place.
I simply love all of the colors together.

My grandchildren will probably not know how to read this...
they are not taught handwriting anymore in school.
What a shame.

What a shame.
I still love reading old manuscripts
written in pen and ink....as they are so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI didn't know what those beans were called. I purchased some last Fall and strung them and sold them. I have a small string still for myself.

I love those new jugs with the script writing. I have never seen anything like hen either. Also your drieds are lovely . Together they all feel like harvest time. I hope your buying trip is very successful and looking forward to seeing some of your interesting finds when you' return. Have a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it Janice! I love all of the dried things, something I have never done. Enjoy your buying trip!
