I realize Easter is over already,
however this was my April CupbordScape for Easter.
Better late than never and hope you enjoy.
Filled with eggs and bunnies.
The pillows were both from Scattered Seed Samplers.
Love how they turned out.
Dressed up my prim tree with fabric eggs I made.
Added in all of my bunny molds to complete.
In other news,
It has been a crazy week thus far,
Sunday we were at the store when
an active shooter report came in.
The incident was 4 blocks to the West
and then another 4 blocks south of our store.
They brought in police from various towns
along with border patrol and two drones.
What was thought to be a hostage situation
using an AR-15 was a swatting incident.
Now the FBI is involved to try and find out
who placed the call.
Monday Bob and I decided to go clothes shopping.
On our way we travel at this area where
the road turns into a divided one
which is one way only each way.
Well going up this lady was going the wrong way.
I was laying on my horn at her and she still
past me going the wrong way.
Then that same road going back home,
an elderly man was going the wrong way.
Bob immediately said, "Get me home.
There are too many crazies out here."
Yesterday I had to take my mom to her dentist.
Left my house at 8:30am.
First stop though was to her doctor's office
to get her monthly blood work done and weigh her.
Figured I would do it at the same time
so a second trip was not needed.
Dentist was bad news.
My mom needs two teeth extracted,
and a partial done on two more teeth.
So more dental appts needed.
My siblings should be glad I am retired now.
My cousin is her dental hygienist,
so it was nice catching up on family news.
While at the dentist, I received this call from
a realtor saying she got my number
from another cousin that we were selling
my mom's house and she has a buyer for it.
NO we are not selling her house...
and I had already told this cousin we
were not selling. My cousin has a buyer and is
hoping we sell to her.
The nerve of some folks...and this is family.
EGAD
I called the realtor back
when I got home at 3:00pm,
and before she got her spiel out,
told her the house was not for sale.
She thanked me and hung up.
The plan is my brother is going to move in
once he sells his house.
We are unable to sell or rent my mom's house
or she loses the government money for her
to stay in her apartment.
So my brother is just going to live there
rent free and just pay the utilities and taxes.
He is helping us all out.
Well hopefully the rest of the week I can relax
and get some stitching and tv watching in. LOL
So much flooding in our state, so hopefully
things calm down.
Tornadoes came through early
Wednesday morning.
I hate this time of year.
Hope all is good in your neck of the woods.
Thursday Blessings To All!
Janice

Oh my word! What a lot going on! A shooter and some crazy drivers! Sounds like my city! Lord, I’m glad everyone okay.
ReplyDeleteLove the decor.
Good thing you are retired! And yes, there are a LOT of crazies out there.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunny pillows and eggs!
ReplyDeleteGood grief - what a crazy day you had. I heard about the Swatting incident, sad that people think that sort of thing is funny.
Yes, the flooding continues and it's raining yet again!
Your siblings are so lucky you retired! I hope they appreciate all you do.
ReplyDeleteSweet stitcheries. I know how you love your bunnies and all your molds are wonderful.
Too many crazies out there…and not enough consequences!
I remember when you stitched those bunnies. Loved them then and still do. And, of course, you know I love my bunny molds. You have had a crazy week. Sometimes it is just so trying to go out. So says this hermit. I don't know the laws in MI (and it was never my area of expertise) - and, I don't know your mom's insurance/financial situation but I hope you've run things through an estate planning/elder law attorney? It used to be that if someone was in assisted living/nursing home, etc. and state/federal funds were involved (e.g., Medicare), they would be entitled to recoup the cost of care upon the eventual sale of the home. (In other words, having her brother live there rent free in exchange for maintaining it, paying expenses, etc. won't likely protect the house in the long-run.) Sorry...unsolicited info...
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies are all so cute!!
ReplyDeleteYes, lots of crazy people out there.
You wonder why someone would call in a false alarm like that!!!!
What an awful thing to do.
After all this activity you may want to get a new job! Oh my, too many crazies on the road for sure. I always tell Jack to head for home and civilization! I hope all goes well for your Mom. I'm glad you brother can be a help with the house. It's hard when our parents age and depend on us but I was glad we could be there for our mom. Take care Janice!
ReplyDeleteDid you get tornadoes in your 'hood? We had a watch but no warnings here but I know some people spent a lot of time in the basement! You have dealt in Crazyland this week with uninvited real estate agent, highway crazies and a shooter in your area. I hope things calm down for you this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love bunnies year around, except in my garden. Hee Hee, they nibble off all my tulips, which is currently their favorite snack. Ha!
ReplyDeleteYes, a lot of crazy... it does not end. I always say, it cannot get any worse can it?
Stay safe out there, we have wicked weather here too.
You sure do have a lot going on and not all good. So sorry.
