December CupboardScape

Well friends,

we have come down to the finale

for my 2025 Christmas tour.

I sure hope you enjoyed this as much

as I did putting it all together. 

Today is also my final CupboardScape for the year.

All about the gingerbread.

To make these yummy cookies,

you need a bowl, measure cup and flour sifter.

Of course it also helps having the cookie cutter.

A handmade ginger I made eons ago.

It resides underneath my antique shoofly.

A shoofly was used to keep bugs out of food.

Here is a close up of that gingerbread man.

Paired with some faux muffins.

Rolling pin also needed.

The larger gingers I made years ago.

This metal gingerbread I bought at

Hobby Lobby.

It was red so Bob painted it for me a brown.

Then I added a different fabric ribbon and raffia.

Hung up this vintage striped stocking.

Also this ladies striped stocking.

Finished off with a bonnet,

and included two pitchers.

All on my pine cabinet here in the 

heart of our room...the kitchen.

I don't often show this angle,

but the screen door leads into

our keeping room.

When we found this old screen door,

I asked Bob to hang it here

because it remined me of the screen door

my maternal grandma had on her farmhouse.

I use to love slamming that door.

You can also partially see our stove.

In  other news,

I mentioned we were going to dinner

 on Monday night.

Santa greeted us at the door.

The entire ceiling looked like this.

It was so festive in person.

They played Christmas music and the ambiance

was just magical. 

They even had a Santa hat on 

each of the barstool chairs.

Bob had their famous Chicken in The Rough

broasted chicken,

while I had fish and chips.

So this will be my last post until January.

I want to wish everyone a

Happy New Year!

I will continue to read everyone's blogs,

I just need to focus on the next two weeks

taking care of my mom.

I just hope all goes well.
