What have I been up too?
I finished the cursive strawberry.
WOOHOO
This was the pattern from Erica Michaels
Alpha Strawberries.
Now to make it into that strawberry.
I folded it with the right side in.
Then hand stitched the one side.
Turned it right side out.
Stuffed it with my Morning Glory
fiberfil stuffing.
Topped it with a green wool top.
Next I took some velveteen.
Took the same pattern which was
included in the Alpha Strawberries pattern.
Stitched up more strawberries
using the velveteen.
These will all go in a display soon.
In other news,
the repaired bowl from my last post
is a reproduction.
Folks get fooled all of the time,
it is a cheap fake....but I do still love it.
Also the pics from my last post were all from my home.
We no longer have the gift shop.
I only order honey, candles and bath bombs...
and those are inside our antique store now.
Mikayla had her final prom and overnighter.
She starts college in August now.
We ordered a privacy fence from Lowes.
It will replace the old rotten wood one
that my neighbor installed.
We asked them if we could replace it...
and of course they agreed.
Not yet sure when they will
come out to install...but when they do
it will be done in one day.
Just the one side of our property.
The rest is cyclone...but we wanted
a privacy one on this side to keep
Tundra from barking at everything.
Well have to get my butt to work.
Hope everyone enjoys their week.
June Blessings To All!

The strawberries are really cute. The fence makes some sense, especially with a curious dog!
ReplyDeleteThe strawberry is really cute and I love the idea of adding the red ones to it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mikayla!
Sweet cross stitch strawberry. I have also made red velveteen ones…and paisley and coverlet ones, too.
ReplyDeleteThat bowl is a great cheap fake. Don’t you just love that term? 🤣🤣🤣
Congrats to Mikayla as she enters the next chapter of her life story.

I love those strawberries - just the thing for summer. Congrats to Mikkayla!
ReplyDeleteYour strawberries are sooo SWEET! (Pun intended 🤣) I don't know which I love better - the beautifully stitched one or the velveteen ones (I'm a sucker for velvet and velveteen). Congratulations to Mikyala and best wishes in her studies. Hope your week is off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteHappy June, the strawberries are perfect for this lovely month. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your Mikayla. Do keep us updated on her studies.

I'm impressed with your strawberries. Wow.
ReplyDeleteAll strawberries are beautiful and bet all three are purchased by the same person. But perhaps you were going to have them together anyway.
