March CupboardScape

OMG has it really been almost a month since my last post?
Good evening sweet blogging friends.
So I have been absent for awhile.
If you only could see my house right now...
you would know why.
Bob decided to start the redo of our living room right now.
I am thrilled that he is doing it, but was hoping it
could have happened in warmer weather so we could
move our furniture out in the garage.
Now it is everywhere.
I do mean everywhere...kitchen, living room back room and even
our bedroom. Boxes and furniture and stufff...
EVERYWHERE

I had to search for all my things to create this month's
CupboardScape, but I finally manged to get it together.
So without further ado...

This month features the letters "E" and "F".

Let's start out with my wire Egg baskets.

With one in the shape of a chicken.

Next is a Fly Screen with two Flax Hanks.
This flax is used to make linen which was already spun using...

 a flax winder seen here.
Once the flax is cleaned and spun it shines.
Linen is 20% stronger than cotton and can last well over a century,
however because the process from raw product to finish is much
more labor intense, cotton was preferred over flax.

An Enamelware Chamberstick Candle Holder is pictured on the right.
A Folk Art Bunny is on the left ( you know I love my bunnies) LOL

An Enamelware Blue Swirl Pitcher.

Another piece of Folk Art shaped into a bird.

An Egg Scale (which came from Gramma B's farm)

A wood Flour Measure and paper Egg Carton.

Another Enamelware piece..this on in the Snow on the Mountain pattern.

Feather Basket. The lid was needed so the feathers would not fly out.

Finally a Firkin and a small Enamelware Blue Swirl Bowl.

Hope you liked this month's CupboardScape.
Hopefully my house will be back to normal by next month.
Not holding my breath though,
because next weekend we are doing the Holly, Michigan
prim show and then the following weekend is Breckenridge, MI
then two weeks after that New Haven, MI antique show.

I did warn my family that I may have to cancel Easter dinner.

No Spring decorating around here either...
and I so love bunnies. :-(

Pre Spring Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. So many cute things, Janice. I have always wanted an egg scale, so that is in my list when flea market season begins! It's always hard to deal with the clutter and mess of remodeling - but so worth it in the end! Keep smiling, Jane
