Part two of our living room.
Hope you are enjoying the pics.
The silver ornaments on this tree
are all vintage and antique.
I think the blue might be a reflection from
our window on the opposite side of the room...
unless its one of our ghosts...
This is an antique feather tree with antique garland.
So Bob sends me a pic of this child's sleigh
wanting to know if I wanted it.
{Sandy this is the one Bob told you about}
He bought it from a pick he went on one day.
At the time I said no as I did not
have a covered porch to put it on.
Well then a few days later I went to the store...
had Bob put it back in his van,
and here it now is filled will faux poinsettias.
I wrapped some olive leaf garland in the front,
and draped a runner on the handle.
It also seems that Tundra left some hair too.
He is shedding big time.
A bowl full of fabric and faux fruit,
with a bit of greens mixed in.
Close up of the feather tree.
Well then Bob brings home this one red ornament
for my birthday.
I had the other two in a bowl....so added them
to the silver tree.
This is the Santa he bought me.
This one and the next one I already had.
Both are vintage.
We sold both this Belsnickle Santa and the
lil bottlebrush tree on a wooden spool at the store.
I snagged these ones.
Finally this lil grouping of vintage
bottle brush trees, my rabbits and another
Belsnickle Santa peeking at you.
In other news,
we went out to our monthly dinner
with our friends last evening.
Italian this time.
Both Bob and I had just pizza and salad.
Then we went to their new house
they just purchased on the river.
This house is over 100 years old.
They are fellow antique lovers.
Their new home is starting to feel
like Christmas too with their vintage vibe.
Am not feeling the best right now.
I called in sick earlier and have been laying
on the couch since 3 this morning.
Going back to lay down again.
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday.
Weekend Blessings To All!
Janice
I always wanted to live in an antique shop and there you are - living the dream! That Santa ornament is charming and I remember having one similar on my childhood tree. I wish I had all my mom’s ornaments - many broke due to their many moves.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I hope you feel better now.
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have a lot of sweet decorations for Christmas. I wish I had my mom's ornaments too - wonder where they went.
The feather tree I made with dyed goose feathers looks very similar to your antique one except mine isn't in a bowl. I love your sleigh. Hope you feel better today.
ReplyDeleteI love it all! The feather tree, the ornaments, the Santa! And Bob is good - the old sleigh and ornaments are perfect. Your stitching adds to the whole look.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you are feeling better fast!
ICK on whatever bug you have...hope you get back to rights soon. Love all your decorations in this post. That sleigh is sweet! I've never seen one like that. And I love the silver ornaments on the tree along with the pops of vintage red. I would love to have a collection of old mercury glass, spun cotton and German ones but that's not going to happen (Lauren has most of the latter ;-) ) so I have to content myself with 2 jars with a mishmash of vintage ornaments. Have a great weekend! ~Robin~
ReplyDeleteHi, hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI did not feel well yesterday.
I love the vintage ornaments.
