December CupboardScape

Hello my friends.
Today will be my last post of the year.
Thank you all again for another wonderful year.

I bought this stocking on the antique trail
this past August.

Bob made the tree from an old door.
He sold quite a few again in all sizes.
I decided to keep one.

He also made the sign.
We sold these back some 15 years ago.

Making memories is so very important to me.

In other news,
it was a rainy chilly day yesterday.
Even Tundra did not want to stay out very long.

Our family Christmas was great.
We enjoyed telling stories and laughing.

I hope everyone enjoyed my 2024
 Christmas decor.
Another year n the books.
I will be away from blogging until the
New Year...
however I will pop in ad visit all of you
that post in the coming weeks.
Plan on doing  whatever I choose
on my vacation...but I do have plans.

My hope is that everyone has a very
Merry Christmas
and
Happy New Year!

Holiday Blessings To All!

A Keeping Room Christmas

Today's post is our keeping room.
I always call this my untraditional Christmas.
No red Christmas items in this room.
Only my chairs and stone fruit have red in them.
Hope you enjoy this look.

Not all Santa's have to be red.

Just love the white and orange.

Close up of my tree.
Oranges, browns and golds.

This is why I wanted to get this stitch piece finished.

I bought this brown ribbon on the antique trail.
It was a steal for $2.00.
I placed it most everywhere.

Even the basket by my chair got a little festive.

In other news,
Thursday morning I got a call from my mom
that she lost power.
I left work early and Bob and I
went and picked her up.
There is no way I would let my mom
freeze in her own home.
It was 19 degrees when we left her house.
Our family Christmas party is today.
She will stay with us until Wednesday now.

Hope everyone is getting ready for their
own Christmas festivities.

Have a magical weekend my friends.

Warm Weekend Blessings To All!

A Kitchen Christmas

 Hello friends!
Today I have a few pics of my kitchen.

Did you spot him from the last pic?

This was the cabinet I purchased on the antique trail
back in August.
Since I found my mule chest,
decided to put this one in here for now...
until Bob gets out laundry room done.

The Christmas tablecloth has been washed
and ready to go.

I made these gingerbreads eons ago.

Decided this year to put all of my antique Santas
that I have thus far here with my bowls & pitchers.

Top of the refrigerator.

A lil display by the sink.
This is a Red Bird coffee jar from the 1940's.

In other news,
not sure what is going on with blogger now?
My blog roll has folks I followed years ago,
which are now coming up in my feed.
These bloggers have not posted for years.
While my newest bloggers I have followed
seem to have disappeared.
I so apologize for not commenting.
If anyone has any suggestions  on why this has happened.
would greatly appreciate it.

Counting down the days now
to both Christmas (13) and my vacation (5).
Looking forward to both!

Well off to work.

Christmas Is Coming Blessings To All!

Drysinks For The Holidays

Hope everyone is enjoying the pics thus far.
Today's display is on our drysinks
by the front door and hall area.

This is one of my antique feather trees.

This year I added my antique spun cotton fruit.
Maybe Santa will get me a few more tis year.

Another elf for the kids to find.

The lid lifts up for when someone would have
cleaned their dishes.
This is why it is called a drysink.
One would clean their dishes with a rag...no water.

Below is a feather basket, pantry box
and a blue bucket.

Now for the opposite side.
A daylight pic with the sun peeking in.

Do you spot another elf?

I do realize I took this pic now before my tree
was completely trimmed.
So sorry about that.
It is is just trimmed in homespun ornaments this year.
A simple one.

Santa decided to go into the pipe holder...
instead of the chimney. [wink wink ]

In other news,
I had not heard they were
getting rid of Windows 10.
My newest computer has that program on it.
Will need to check with the Geek Squad
when I go there.
Will let you know then Saundra.

I am on vacation starting December 18th
thru the New Year.
Looking forward to it and will be unwinding.

Yesterday morning my drive into work
was both rainy and foggy.
Not the best conditions for driving in the dark.
Hopefully it will be better this morning.
Well off to get ready.
