Living Room Part 1

Welcome to our Christmas living room.
Part One.

We found this huge Santa at
an antique flea market years ago.
We also have the sleigh...but I have no
room for both.
If my memory serves me right,
I believe Cathy you have this fella too.

A lil display on this dough box.

I bought this vintage Santa down in Florida one year.

I know Robin you like this horse too.

We sold these wood pictures in the store
a few years ago and I decided to keep
this one of Santa.

I love my red faux poinsettias.
This one is tucked inside a grain measure.
Wrapped a red coverlet piece around it.

In other news,
Thank you all for the birthday wishes.
Bob and I went out for dinner.
While I am sure not everyone likes sushi,
we do.
We went to a new one.
It was nice that some of the sushi rolls
were named after a few towns in our area.
They even had one named a Michigan roll.
Also it is a Japanese hibachi place,
so we would like to go back and try that one day.

We are expecting 2-4 inches of snow later today.
Not as bad as some spots in our state which
got 24 inches on Black Friday.
The roads were a mess North and West of us.
We were spared.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Mid Week Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. I'm catching up with posts. I love your thoughts about Bob saying to get a new comforter "you don't have to tell me twice" - haha. As ALWAYS you have so many wonderful prim treasures! I think it was a shame that Prim Magazine didn't contact you back! Your collections - no matter the holiday or season - are magazine worthy. I look forward to seeing more.

  2. Your home is so pretty and festive. I love this series of posts. And I love sushi, too! We have that same snow warning. My snow guy quit so now I have to find someone new for this year. I didn't need that news!

  5. You are all decorated for Christmas - and it is so pretty. I love red. Nice that you went out for sushi for your birthday - can't say it is my favorite. How many inches of snow do you have now in total? I am still cold from Ohio. lol

  7. All wonderful!
We have some snow in our forecast, too. East of me (but still in Ohio) in the 'snow belt", I believe some areas got 4' of snow. Better them than us...lol!

  8. I really do enjoy looking at all your Christmas primitives. I like them better than the glitter and bling of today's decorations. They tell a story of the past, and I like that much better!

  9. You're mistaken...I don't like that horse too....I LOVE that horse too LOL. I wish I had more space to display them...if I did, I'd have a whole herd of them. We have had spits and sputters of snow...today probably more than previously but nothing significant...until the winds kicked in. Coming home today there were times I couldn't see right 3' right in front of me....and the drifting has made the roads really treacherous. Hard to believe Christmas is only 20 days away... Yikes! I am sooooo not ready! ~Robin~

  10. Everything looks terrific as always, Janice😊 Love the dough box, - jealous! It looks warm and comfortable and cozy and just right for an old-fashioned Christmas. And yes, I’m a fan of sushi, glad you found someplace for a great dinner!
