I Got On The Bandwagon

Hope all is well with you my friends.
Recently I got on Bob's Facebook.
Started scrolling through and noticed something.
All of the prim folks were purchasing these.

Target came out with a line called
Threshold Geo Americana.
I had to get on the bandwagon.
Went to my nearest Target and they had nothing.
So I had to order online.

I purchased a few towels for our bath.
The color is navy and tan.

A perfect addition to our prim bath.
I should have purchased some hand towels too,
but opted not to at the time.

However I had to also purchase their throw blanket.
This is nice because Bob can lay on the couch
with this wrapped over him now...
which is easier to wash then my vintage
wool blankets I had on the couch.
I keep the vintage afghan on the end
for when Tundra lays on the couch.

Do you find yourself on a buying spree
if you spot something online you like?

In other news,

Saturday morning Tundra told me
 a thunderstorm was coming.
Went out to take a couple of pics from our front porch.

Looking in the Southwest direction.
The sky is not as dark in my pics
as it was in person.
Past my neighbors driveway and grass
is the state land we live near.
1400 acres to be exact.
Those purple flowers in the lower right
are my ever-blooming lilac bushes.
They grow only 6 ft high.
They smell just like a lilac and bloom
throughout the Spring and Summer.

Today I am heading to my mom's house
to help my friend Ruth set up for the estate sale.
She already brought in 30 tables...
and she thinks we may need more. UGH
Bob will hold down the fort while I am away.
Me thinks something grilled may be for dinner...
if the weather holds up.
I just hope I dont drive into any nasty weather.

Monday Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. I suspect my son and DIL will have an estate sale here too. That is after they remove all my hooked rugs, lol.

  2. I really like that line from Target. I wonder if it was inspired by the 250th anniversary.
Beautiful view from your home! We have a similar lilac but even smaller. It grows to about 3 feet and gets tiny lilacs that look and smell like the regular, just so much smaller.

  3. LOL! I had seen the towels on FB, but did not order any until you inspired me. FYI…the towels are on now sale.
Good luck with the estate sale. 30 tables and possibly more? Your mom did have a lot of stuff. My kids…hopefully not for a long, long time…will be saying the same about me even though I have gotten rid of lots in the last year.

  4. I did not see this trend on fb. They are nice tho. Yes, I have been buying more on line - new even - clothes. I'm normally a thriftier. I find it easier to just order something I know I can put on and off my myself. Have a fun Monday.

  5. I like those towels and the blanket. I'll have to take a look see. I'm pretty good at restraining myself from shopping sprees because afterward I get that buyers remorse and will take something back. I always look, come home - think about it and then after a day or so if I go back and it's there, it was meant to be, if not - oh well.

  6. Setting up sales is fun. The lilacs are gorgeous. I rarely see the dark lilac variety.
Fads, I tend to wait. That blanket is a beautiful pattern.

  7. Those Target finds are adorable! I can see why everyone jumped on them. And your lilacs blooming away made me smile. Hope the estate sale setup goes smoothly—thirty tables is no joke!

  8. Hi,
We are having storms today. The sky has been changing all day. We do need rain, so I am happy for the moisture. I just do not like the hail, winds and lighting.
I like your new finds. :-)

  9. Thank you so much for the sharing of the Threshold Geo Americana. I love it. I just checked and our local Target has some in stock. We will be headed that way in just a few and pick up the throw blanket and maybe some towels too.

  12. How pretty are the towels and the throw blanket! Yes to your question about spree buying......I have no control whatsoever. The photos of the storm approaching are so pretty as well as the purple flowers. Hope the estate sale goes well.

  13. Your towels are really nice. Like them!!!
The lilacs here in town never really bloomed, just a few blossoms. Same thing with the forsythia.

  15. Yes, I've seen those towels/blankets circulating through the social media sites. I was almost tempted but ultimately said nope. Storms popping in and out here in Nod as well. We're so very wet....

  18. That storm yesterday was intense. Did you lose power during it? I was driving (fortunately almost home) and I could barely see the car in front of me, it was raining and blowing so hard. Very nervewracking. Wonderful purchases -- and yes, I've been on sprees like that too!

  19. It is a beautiful view from your front door. Tundra knew it was going to rain? And 30 tables - my gosh that is huge.

  20. Love those new towels and throw blanket, Janice! And yes, I get way too distracted by pretty things I see online. Luckily, I've gotten pretty good at adding things to my shopping cart and then, after thinking about them for a few days, removing them :) Hope the estate sale goes well--they are SO much work, but fun, too.

  21. Nice view! Never heard of an ever blooming lilac. It would die in my clay so it doesn't matter I guess. We had crib quilts from the Amish on the sofa for our pups. Easy to get hair off smooth fabric. I have a few heavy Woolrich stadium blankets and army blankets that I keep moving around. But I hate to get rid of them!

  22. Towels are so pretty! Ah, I love the smell of lilacs, they remind me of England. We had flooding in Atlanta yesterday. Scary how fast if happened. If you can't see the lines on the road, stop! Turn around, don't drown us good to remember! Stay safe!
