Let The Christmas Season Begin

.Well my friends...
with Thanksgiving over now,
let the 2024 Christmas season begin.
We even had snow yesterday to start us off.

My posts will be done every other day now.
So let's start with our bedroom.

This metal tree Bob made from an old tin.
He put them in the store to sell,
but I kept one for us.

I like to place vintage elves around the house
for the grands to find.
Been doing this ever since they were little.
Lets see if you can spot them.

Last month Bob says...
I think you should but a new bedspread.
Not sure why, because I thought
our red and white quilt was still fine...
but you dont have to tell me twice.
I bought this red coverlet one from an online store.
Me thinks it looks good with my antique ones
having as our headboard.

Please dont mind Bob's Bi-pap machine.
I did not want to unplug it just for pics.
Its sits on the black cabinet Bob also made
by his side of the bed.

In other news,
it is snowing out here again.
Was not expecting this.
Need to go out to the grocery store.
Will have to get my butt moving soon.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Remember I will be posting every other day now
until about the middle of December.

Hope you enjoy my Christmas 2024.

Let The Season Begin Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Lovely old looking new bed spread, good purchase. Love those red stockings and wish I had a sweater like that design. Hope you got to the store and back without getting snowbound.

  3. I love it! You really have great taste in decorating and hiding the elves is such a cute idea.
It's been snowing here like crazy; lots of lake effect snow. I need to get to the store too.

  4. Has your home ever been featured in a magazine? If it hadn’t, it should! Just beautiful. You know “primitive” decor Ive always liked and back in the 80’s and 90’s I tried. Failed to get my California home to look like east coast primitive! I lean toward a rustic minimalism type decor only because I am unable to achieve what you have! Plus I did get rid of all my stuff.
I have a TIME collection of books that is mostly primitive - I think I got them all in the late 80’s. I still look through them and dream…

  5. So many fun and festive touches in one room! Love it all! I like the idea of hiding the elves...but I have to admit, those vintage elves always creeped me out a bit LOL. That pipe holder is AMAZING!! Looking forward to all your holiday postings. ~Robin~

  11. Look how pretty your place is! I'm just starting and will plow through it as I have lots to bring up from the storage area. Every year I say I will only put up a few things. Then December 1st comes and that plan goes out the window! Have good week Janice!
