You Are The Best

All of you are the best blogging friends
one can have.
Some of you I have had the pleasure
to meet in person,
and others I have got to know through
years of camaraderie.
Some I am just starting to get to know.
Either way you all are the best.

With this the season of being thankful,
I want to thank you all for following along
with me on my blog journey
with a giveaway of this sweet snowman.
He was drawn out by me using wool felt
and various fabrics.
He sports a wooden blue heart to show his love.

How could you not resist this sweet face.
He will only melt your heart...
and wont melt himself.

Although I am not ready for snow,
he would be a perfect addition
to add to either your Christmas or Winter decor.

If you would like the chance to win him,
please make a comment
telling me what you are most thankful
for this year.

You also must be a follower.
Open to only my US and Canadian friends.

If you like to share this giveaway on your own blog,
feel free to do so.

In other news,
I am most thankful to have my mom
in my life still.
My dad passed when I was 35 years old.
Christmas was his favorite time of year.
He passed just before Christmas
and we buried him on Christmas Eve morning.
This is the one holiday I still go all out
decorating the whole house.
Somehow I feel his presence and believe he enjoys
the Christmas ambiance of my home
this time of year.
He loved listening to Christmas music
and he would just sit at night looking at the
tree and all of the decor my mom would set up.

Well before I get even more teary eyed,
I will announce the winner of
my snowman in my next post.
Good luck everyone.

The BEST Blessings To All!
Janice

  3. Hi Janice! That snowman is just adorable!
This year I am most thankful for our 3 month old grandson who we prayed for a long time!
I so appreciate blogging friends too. I've met so many wonderful people through blogging.
    Good memories of your Dad!

  4. I'd think losing a loved one so close to any holiday would put a damper on the holiday. Perhaps the love of Christmas by your dad is what inspires you to decorate and celebrate so lovingly. That is a wonderful thing.
Frankly, at my age I'm thankful for each day the good Lord allows me to walk the earth. And I do thank him each day.

I am thankful my son's cancer was caught when it was, even though it has spread. I pray that his treatment will be successful!!!

  9. Thanks Janice. I would love to own that little man. How could I resist. I appreciate your kind words and the fact that you visit me every time I post which seems to be fewer and further between. My mom, sadly, is no longer with us but she also loved Christmas and I think that is why I tend to go all out because I know she would have loved seeing my Cottage decorated but she never got to. Happy Thanksgiving my friend..xxoJudy

  10. Awww....such a sweet snowfella....and what a generous gesture Janice. It's been a couple of hard years, but I am grateful that I'm still standing...and that there is still hope. I see it every time I look in my little Mia's eyes. ~Robin~

  12. Losing someone is always difficult, but when that time is around the holidays, it seems to make it even a more tender feeling. I know that we are thankful for you – I enjoy seeing what’s going on up north, and have appreciated your expertise on Antiques and sharing inspiration on how you decorate your home. As much as I sometimes get frustrated with it, technology has been great in helping us connect with people we never would’ve met otherwise - kindred spirits, that’s what I’m thankful for
