Look What The Cat Dragged In

Hello Friends.
Well my cat is Bob.
I asked him to find me table.

A table he got me.

It even has a drawer.

It also has a nice patina.

Both sides come up.

Now why did I need another table?

Well this was our computer we used at
our gift shop.
Even though we closed that store and sold
the building, I still need it to complete
my inventory since we moved a portion
of said inventory to our antiques store.

Once I retire from my real job,
this table will be moved to the living room
where my current table resides for my
work computer.
For now it will remain here in the guest room.

I think my cat did good.
What do you think?

In other news,
cannot believe Thanksgiving
is only a few weeks away.
I had so many plans to stitch up some turkey
pillows and even hook a turkey.
Well most of those plans fell by the wayside.
I wont even finish the turkey I just started.
Maybe, just maybe, I will have more time
when I retire.

Yesterday driving home I saw a heron flying
through the marsh.
Two things wrong with this.
1. He was flying North.
2. Usually our herons have left by now for Winter.
Just weird.

More weird is a town about an hour and a half
west of us had a tornado on Sunday.
Here in Michigan this is a first for this time of year.

Also weird is for me driving into work
on Thursday as usually I work from home this day.
Have to go in though today...again more weird.

Well hope your upcoming days are not weird.

Thursday Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. What a clever cat you have! Most just bring in bird and mouse carcasses! The weather is weird -- I saw Harry the Heron last week, which is very late. It's not that I don't like this weather -- I love it! But it scares the heck out of me when I look at climate change over time. I hadn't heard about the tornado. Wow. I am NOT falling back well!

  2. Nice table your hubby found and am sure it will be useful even after you retire. Weather has been fluctuating here but the warmer days have been helpful in that it reduces the amount of propane or electricity to heat the house.

  4. I really like that piece of furniture! Well you may have had some weird occurrences but one thing for sure, you and your blog is not weird! I always enjoy what new piece you’ve brought into your home or shop, what creative handiwork you’ve created.Always good stuff, Janice!

  5. You cat done good...lol!
Hard to believe it is mid-November. To say I am not happy about that is an understatement.
If you are anything like me, you will have less time to do things in retirement because you can always put things off until tomorrow...sigh. But retirement is THE BEST!

  6. You have one terrific cat - he did a great job - I love that table - I have to say that my mom had one and I had to get rid of it. :( Wish I hadn't. Thanksgiving is close but it is so late in the month.

  8. Wish my kitties would drag in such treasures. Bob found a beauty! One of my treasured pieces is an old dropleaf table that was my great grandmother's....but it doesn't have a fancy drawer like yours. I've noticed that, in the past several years, there are always flocks of geese flying north instead of south. Weird indeed. ~Robin~
