I Am A Rebel

Yes, I have always been a rebel,
ever since I can remember.

My mom had a pink bathroom that I never liked.
I decided to take green toothpaste
and painted the one wall with it.
Yep I sure did.

First grade we had to color pictures
from coloring books...
seemed like day in and day out.
So I decided to color my pages all green one day.
Yep I sure did.

I was on a horse as soon as I could walk.
I would get on my pony bareback...
no bridle ~ no saddle.
Grandpa B would yell at me to get off,
but as soon as he went back into the house,
I was back on my pony.
Yep I sure did.

So being the rebel that I am,
I decided to start decorating for July 4th.

Hung this old antique tin horn to my horse.

Placed my teddy and doll on top.

The other teddy below.

This is the left side of the table in our living room.
I used a red and white quilt for my base.
Stay tune to see what I have in store for
the other side.

So I am not really suppose to be using my left arm.
But I had to move the table I originally had here,
and moved in my bigger one.
Then moved the other one to the back room,
where my small one was...then moved the small one
back into the living room behind our chair.
Musical tables is what happened.
Yep I sure did.

You have to come back when I reveal the other half.

I wanted to start changing things up
because we will be gone the next
few weekends, and I wanted a bit of
Americana for Memorial Day.

What are your plans this weekend?

Rebel Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Hahahaha, We Rebels just see the world differently, don't we!! Yep, I was a bit of one too so I can relate. My Mama called me stubborn, but I just couldn't understand why some things had to be just so. In a big family like mine, there were lots of older kids who thought they were my boss and I think that just made me more self-determined=Rebel=Stubborn. LOL!!

I put up mu Americana things too this past week because I just wanted to after the Easter came down. Just because seemed like a good idea to me and I am enjoying the change. Of course the summer like weather makes it seem later in the year than just early May. so that might have contributed to the idea of Americana as well.

Have a great weekend and be sure to let that shoulder get some rest in between projects!

  3. I drug out some of my red, white and blue stuff as I took Easter down so call me a rebel as well. I love the musical tables because well let's admit we've all done that at one time or another. Can't wait to see the other side now.

  5. My red, white and blue is out year round. I was patriotic before it was "cool" to be patriotic...lol.
Please don't come to my house. Pink is my 2nd least favorite color (purple being my first) and I have a pink tiled bathroom. Ugh. One of these days...sigh.
