Throwback Thursday

Good evening sweet friends.
Hope all are doing well.
Tonight I decided to do my own version
of a throwback Thursday.

One of my kitchen cabinets decorated last Autumn.

Another Autumn pic of our back room.
Soon the mustard and red will be changed...
still deciding on what color to change the walls though.

Kitchen display.

Corner of living room.

Same corner after redo.
Notice the new entry into our kitchen to the left.
We wanted to open up things a bit.

Today Bob and I took the grands on our annual
trip to Harsen's Island.

Map of Harsens Island

The island is about 2 miles from our house.

We have to take the car ferry to get over.
They love the ferry ride over even though it is only
a 2 minute ride.

We do lunch out on the covered patio,
in hopes of seeing a freighter go by.
Today we saw 4..which is a record for lunch.
Last year was 3.

Not one of the actual freighters we saw,
but the ones we saw are similar.
We have the same freighters by our house,
only the big river is much bigger than the channel
on the island, so they are closer in.

After lunch we went back to the house and they played
with friends in the neighborhood.
Then for dinner we went and has sushi.
My grands love sushi!

Well off to watch some tv.

Throwback Thursday Blessings To All!

  1. Great pictures...I'm a neutral gal myself...no more colors on the wall that I have to worry about what will match and what won't...soft whites & taupes for me! I went to Harson's Island when I was a teen...it is a beautiful place!! I think I see a road trip in the near future! Have a great day, Janice!
