Porch Beginnings

Good evening blogging buddies!
Hope everyone is safe in the path of the upcoming storm.
Our weather folks are saying we will be getting
these strong storms sometime tomorrow.

Most of you know already how we chose
our store name
Back Porch Antiques.
For my new followers,
I will give you the short story.

We originally were going to open a small prim shop
in the back room of our home which originally was
our back porch turned into a room
with windows and a door.

Back Porch Primitives was born.
However our township changed their mind and we could not open
our little prim shop.

We set up shop in the next town,
and Bob and I worked one entire weekend
building a porch for the room we leased.

When we moved our business to our own store,
Bob always missed the porch we made.

He missed it so much,
last week he made another mini version.

Made with reclaimed beadboard, paint, old windows.
Even some old tin roofing we had laying around.
I think he did a great job!
Do you like our new porch?

New Porch Beginning Blessings To All!
