Snippets Of Spring

Here are my Spring displays for 2026.
***WARNING***
Lot's of pics.

Did you have a favorite?

In other news,
Its time now to drag out my patriotic decor.
I want to get a head start and enjoy our
250th birthday of AMERICA.

Sunday's Mother's Day lunch was good.
I had BBQ beef brisket top with fried onions,
loaded baked potato and steamed green beans.
Mom had a crab cake with a baked potato
and steamed green beans.
We both had blueberry cheesecake for dessert.
Afterwards I went back home and stitched a bit.
It was nice just spending time alone.
Both my kids reached out to me
to wish me a happy Mother's Day.
I told them ahead of time I was going to
spend most of my day with my mom.
It does take me an hour to drive to her
studio apartment one way.

Monday my brother, Bob and I met
my friend for lunch in my mom's town
to discuss the estate sale.
I am going to help her out 3 days a week.
Also Monday was my granddaughter's birthday.
Mikayla is now 19.
Michele, my daughter took her over to Canada
 for a few drinks...
because over there the drinking age is 19.
Cannot believe that sweet kid is already that old.

Tuesday we went to lunch with Mikayla,
Michele and grandson Mikey for her birthday.
Mikey is still waiting to see the hand surgeon.
Afterwards Bob and I went to the meat market
to get our monthly meat to fill our freezer.

Wednesday we had Leaf Filter come in.
They installed gutter guards for us.
Bob will no longer need to clean gutters.
He is ecstatic.

Today I am just going to clean and do laundry.
Catch up on tv shows and watch some Flosstube videos
 while doing some stitching.

Not yet sure our plans for the weekend.
I know Bob will be working the store though.

Snippets Of Spring Blessings To All!

  2. Spring is looking beautiful over there! I can't choose a favorite.
I should start with patriotic stuff too with this big birthday coming up!

  3. One day it feels like spring or that spring has finally arrived, only to have a setback of cold temps where the heat kicks in again. Wishing it would get here soon. Enjoy your inside spring.

  4. Oh I love all your photos and decor. It's hard to pick a favorite. We had our leaf guards installed last year and it was wonderful this rainy season. I never felt comfortable with my husband climbing the ladder to clean out the gutters.
Your mothers day sounded nice and that you actually got to spend it with your mom.

  5. I enjoyed all of your pretty spring scenes, Janice--especially since it is a cold, grey day here in western PA! I do love your bunnies most of all :) Sounds like a lovely Mother's Day with your mom. Mine has been gone almost six years and I miss her so much. Today would have been her 99th birthday so it's a tough time of year. Hoping the rest of your week is enjoyable!

  6. Hi,
SHEEP!!! I love sheep and bunnies, I cannot choose a favorite. ;-)
I do love that sheep photo in the display.
I am planting a red, white and blue theme on our front deck. Using blue pots, red and white flowers. I am in hopes it all turns out. I will share soon.

  11. Your crocks....always your crocks are my favorite! (But I am also loving that little sheep picture under the cloche.) Well...and, of course, your beautiful stitches. It sounds like a nice Mother's Day lunch - especially dessert. ;-) Weather is just crazy. I finally broke down and bought two plants. I had to leave them in the garage for days and finally brought them out yesterday since the forecast looked like we were over the frost and freezing nights...only to have them killed last night by...you guessed it...frost. Grrrr... (And, gee, tomorrow they say we are to be almost to 80ΒΊ. Talk about weather whiplash.)

  12. I love them all, but my favorites are the ones with your oh-so-beautiful stitches. Tulips can certainly dress up any nook or corner.

  15. I loved all the spring pics! You know how to decorate! I just started pulling out my patriotic decorations and feel sad to put away the spring ones. Happy belated mother's day and it sounds like you had a very nice one with your mom. I miss my mom and wish we could share a day together. Tomorrow would have been her 100th birthday. I'll post something in her honor and I'm behind in posting too! Have a good week!

  16. What a lovely burst of spring, Janice! Your displays are always such a treat—so many sweet vignettes and thoughtful touches. I can just imagine how cheerful your home feels right now. Your Mother’s Day sounded wonderful too… that brisket and blueberry cheesecake had me smiling. And goodness, you’ve had a full week! From estate‑sale planning to birthday celebrations to gutter guards (lucky Bob!), you’ve certainly earned a quiet stitching day. Wishing you a peaceful weekend ahead and many more spring blessings. πŸŒ·πŸ’›
