You Make My Heart Smile.
Hello friends.
Here were my Valentine displays
in our living room this year.
Hope you enjoy although late in the game.
In other news,
the other day while taking Tundra outside,
I spotted this cute bird.
a House Finch.
This is the male.
I do not see them very often like the other birds.
It has been hanging out with the Sparrows.
Yesterday I had a dentist appt. and driving through
the marsh I noticed in spots there was a lot of mud
where water should be.
Water level is really down this time of year.
Speaking of the dentist,
I have to have a crown down. UGH
It will be scheduled soon before I retire.
Today my brother and I will be taking my mom
out of her studio to go get blood work done.
Then she needs to do some banking
at her bank in town.
After that we are meeting my cousins
for lunch in her hometown.
She will be surprised when she sees them.
Well my first week of sabbatical has been
mostly appts and just relaxing.
Not a lot of stitching or much of anything.
Hopefully next week I can be more productive.
Love Blessings To All!
Janice

I know you all will enjoy that lunch!
ReplyDeleteAll the photos are filled with gorgeous things! SO warm and cozy...
Happy week!
hugs

I enjoyed your displays! We have had a "fool's Spring" here in my part of Wisconsin. I've been enjoying it. Tomorrow....3-6 inches of snow. But, Spring is in the air either way. Enjoy your lunch!
ReplyDeleteI also had a dental appointment yesterday but just for cleaning and full mouth x-ray. I have 9 crowns and hope to not have anymore.
ReplyDeleteI used to decorate for Valentine's Day but no more since it is just me here and I'd have to put everything back, lol.
Bummer on the crown. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine decor looks very nice. I am wondering how many totes you have to store all of that for different seasons! :)
Our water level is up on this side of the state because of all the snow we got. And we needed that because of last summer being so dry.
Enjoy that lunch!
Thank you for showing us your lovelies! All beautiful! Boo on the crown!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that Bird! It’s beautiful!!!!!
Good morning, I love everything! when I first retired I was so exhausted along with the permanent move to Missouri that I didn't drive or do much for a couple months. I was so burnt out at the time. Your outing with your Mom sounds nice-hugs
ReplyDeleteSweet vignettes. Love the Cupid cross stitch!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the house finch, very handsome fella.
We have had two pairs of cardinals visiting our feeders. I love to see that pop of red.
Good luck with your outing with your mom, I pray it all goes well.
Love, Carla
The house finch was pretty.
ReplyDeleteI know so many of my friends are having to get crowns right now. Good luck.
Glad you are taking your mother out!
Everything looks so nice at your place.
ReplyDeleteWe get the house finches around the feeder.
Lunch sounds lovely. Hope your mom enjoyed it!! :)
Such pretty pretties!! That WTN&T Cupid is another one of those pieces that every time I see it, I think I need to stitch that. So many stitches, so little time...and motivation these days. That photo of the finch is incredible!!! My photos never turn out that good - especially when I am trying to photograph birds. My cardinals have returned along with our "Fool's Spring" and their song is so very welcome. They will likely regret their decision to return when winter returns here tomorrow. I went to the dentist today and was told I need another crown as well as another filling. I just had a crown a few months ago. At this rate, I will need to go back to work to pay dental bills (and prescription costs...yikes!) I hope your mom enjoyed her lunch out!
ReplyDeletePretty heart displays !
ReplyDeleteLove all the decor! You have such a good eye for decorating. It's OK to take some time to decompress on your time off! Sorry about the crown. I just had one a few months ago and they sure are expensive! On that happy note, I hope you have a good weekend! The little warm up we have had was such a relief but snow coming here on Sunday. Dang it!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late for valentine love and especially when it's so pretty. I love all your sweet touches and the vintage valentines, too. Sorry about the crown, though!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, hard to choose a favorite display so I won't. We had loads of those purplish red finches at our feeders for years. Then, gone. Haven't seen one in years.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the nicest gatherings for a display- I find spring difficult as I’m not a pastel person, but you always give me new ideas. Love the red cupboard! I hope your mom is adjusting smoothly-I’m sure it’s a difficult time for all.
