Before The Chaos

So for months now
our house has been a chaotic mess.
Kitchen and back room still are.
So is part of our living room.
My friend told me just do a little bit each day,
so it wont overwhelm you.
Well it is overwhelming.

Today's pics are random ones of
our guest room.

The walls were painted a mushroom color
for years and years.

Well since Bob purchased more blue paint
then was needed for our bedroom,
we decided to re-paint this room
and then move more furniture.
It's like the Dierks Bentley song,
"What was I thinking?"

Most of what you see here,
stayed here with a few exceptions.
My next post will show the new
bedroom redo.

In other news,
I heard CMT cancelled Jason Aldean's
song that came out in May.
I love this song. I love country music.
I also love rock, jazz and some rap.
Just wonder why someone can be cancelled for
a song or even a word like Morgan Wallen,
while most of these rap singers can sing about
killing cops, or be on award shows showing of their
 pornographic moves and slurs.
This world is all messed up.
God help us all.
Guess I wont be watching CMT anymore.
Everyone is going woke. UGH

The skeeters (mosquitoes) are getting worse.
Chasing us into the house even before it gets
dark now. What gives?

Working for a major bank our economist
told us the Fed will be raising interest rates
two more times before the end of the year.
Bidenomics sucks.
Also if he is going to give back student loan debt,
I want reparations for everyone who has
mortgages, auto loans and credit cards.
Might as well give us all some relief.
Give me a hell yeah if you agree.

Also please say a wee prayer for our friend
Grandpa Ed as Tundra calls him.
He is our doggie sitter,
The other day he fell while on his boat,
suffered a concussion as he hit his head
and remains in the hospital with blood in his brain.
Tundra misses him awful.
Thanks.

Well have to et back to work,
so I can pay my car loan and credit cards.
No one paid for my student debt when I went to college.

Before The Chaos Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. We need a re-set for sure. Ridiculous that Jason Aldean's song was pulled ~ that's the left woke folks for ya. No was was it racist but only the woke left could claim it to be.

  2. I totally agree. I like that mushroom color on the walls. As I was looking at your pictures I am thinking to myself to paint my bedroom that color. Did you just get tired of it?? I believe America is dying a slow death, how very different from when I was young.

  3. Good morning, our friend Mary sent me to your blog because we think the same--and we do-so refreshing. for some reason over 90% of the people I know here on blogger are liberals and very far left liberals-they are sooo blind. I just took down a political post which I thought perhaps they had finally realized the truths-Not at all which is sad these are mostly artists so they tolerate me at times haha
Glad to meet you-I am retired and in my mid '70s I am a farm girl at heart, we had retired to the woods back in 2003 and just recently moved to a lake house husband wanted to downsize. Kathy

  4. Love your photos in all your postings. You have a way of finding and arranging all you decor. Totally agree with your viewpoint. I just heard there have been a couple thousand cases of latent tb allowed over border. Diseases we eradicated will be coming back because we can't even follow precedent from years prior. Prayers for Tundras grandpa. Have a blessed week, hope your drive to and from work isn't too bad.

  5. HELL YEAH!!! Our great land is going to hell in a handbasket...quickly.
My son chose not to go to college. He is a carpenter who spends many thousands every year on the tools he needs to do his job. Why would he be excluded? He has a profession and he doesn't have a liberal arts degree where he says, "would you like fries with that?". Pi**es me off to no end.
Let's cancel everything the left doesn't agree with...NOT!
    Prayers for Grandpa Ed.

  6. Hmmmm....I really like your original mushroom color?? Guess I am not too daring with wall paint as I find neutrals stand the test of time. Love your framed pattern pieces (think I've told you that before - many times) and your dress form. I'll happily take them off your hands LOL. Sorry to hear about Grandpa Ed's fall and praying for healing. As for the continuing absurdity going on all around us, it amazes me that they always manage to one-up the stupidity. And, yeah, I want reimbursement for the student loans I paid off...along with the interest thereon...and yes, reimbursement for the tools of Little Crow's trade....and, while we're at it, how about reparations for hanging my ancestors?? I could go on, but you and I are singing from the same choirbook. ~Robin~

  7. That's the thing on cleaning and revamping when it's overwhelming. You do a little, move on, and pretty soon it all needs it again! Prayers for your friend!

  8. Amen Sister - preach! I am so sick of anything woke. It's everywhere, even when I go into town - advertisements on buses - they are trying to brainwash us - worse yet, the children. It seems every single day, there is some new outrageous thing they want - like a bunch of spoiled brats. Grrrrrrr.

Sorry to hear of your friends bad fall. I do hope and pray he recovers soon and has no permanent disability from the concussion.

There is always something to do when you have a house - we have some painting to do but as it looks, it probably won't get done till next year. Meanwhile, I just am not going to worry about it.

  9. You move things around so often you are amazing. But living in chaos is very hard.
I paid for my daughter's education and she paid for her masters who will reimburse us?

  10. Yes ma'am! I totally agree! Such crazy things going on in the world today. Very frustrating about the Jason Aldean song.
I hate living in chaos too, but sometimes you can't avoid it!

  11. So sorry about Grampa Ed's fall and concussion. I hope he'll recover 100%.

I'm tired of WOKE and of chaos in our world too. Nothing makes sense anymore. It's heading in the wrong direction. Lord help us.
I like the mushroom color too.

    Hugs, Julia

  12. Prayers for your friend Grampa Ed......hope he recovers quickly. Yes, this world has seemed to go upside down and backwards......and is very uncertain. How exciting to get a bedroom redo! Cant wait to see your photos!

  13. Living in a small town we all agree with that song and like you said I can't believe how folks honor and reward the rap singers and others who are nothing but crude, rude, and no talent. When we bought our first house in the mid 80's interest rates were 10.25%...that was crazy! I sure hope we're not going in that direction. We took 11yrs to save for that little cape cod home that we loved. No one paid our school loans or the medical bills we had from our first child born premature. But I'm proud that we did it on our own. I hope kids today will feel the same but not if it's all handed to them. I know there are many out there who struggle. My niece has $63,000 in school loans and will have to pay it all back. I worry about my Grandkiddos and what the world will be for them. Maybe my folks had the same worries. I'll look forward to your redo photos! Take care Janice!

  14. Oh my... I am with you my dear friend.
Sadly, we had a neighbor blaring rap music (it is a story I plan to blog about someday) and the lyrics where all about killing police and white people!!! I heard it because I was out working in my front gardens.
Like I said.. it is a story and 1/2!!! I hope to blog about it soon, I just have to settle it in my mind to write about.
    xx oo
