The Witch Room

Happy Sunday my friends.

Hope your weekend is going good!

I am burning candles at both ends now,
trying to get all of my Christmas items
ready for Nov. 1st.

Therefore I need to get back to creating
in between customers at the store today.
Here are pics of the main room.
All about witches and witchcraft.
Half the pics I should say.
More to come.
Hope you enjoy.

Before I leave, I want to wish
my Canadian friends a
Happy Thanksgiving!

Witch Room Blessings to All!
Janice

  4. Wow, the amount of work that went into your Witch Room. I see so many special items. All of them! I can't even pick a favorite or a favorite display. I love the "fire" and I love the stuffed boot (the park your broom) and ALL of the items, actually. Just amazing. If someone walks out empty-handed, they're crazy! And I can't wait for the Nov. 1 switch-over, but gosh you are going to be tired.

    1. I did take me 4 days to do this room and yes it was a lot of work, but all worth it in the end. I love seeing customers reactions to it and also love the compliments. Some even wonder how I am going to be able to top this next year. Yes I will be tired again once I get the Christmas goodies up, but I truly love it and it is not work for me. LOL Janice

    1. No the basket is not old. I do like them too though. I created the Salem blocks from blocks Bob cut out for me. The cats are all spoken for. Those were a hit, and most of the hats are gone too. So glad everyone liked my room this year. Janice

  6. You always find the best stuff for your store and are always so productive. You'd better never retire...lol...because productivity seems to go down the more time you have!

    1. Well I hope it does not go down. If and when I retire I will be working the store full time. Which I want to do already. Janice

  7. Your witches are pretty amazing and I like those curly boots. The stores are so full of Halloween stuff here in our area, It's gone kind of crazy. It looks like you need two of you to get it all done. There never seem to be enough time to do everything.

    Have a great week.
    Hugs, Julia

    1. Yes I thought purple and green were such a non traditional Halloween color. What folks to think outside the box from just orange. Will be a somewhat non traditional Christmas color too! Janice

  11. I will try again to post as my attempt failed. I really love your Witch room with all the wonderful spooky gatherings . Where did you find those big witch shoes?? And the brooms? I also love all the colored lights and how they make great ambience . Such a unique and fun gathering of lots of original and fun items as well as a lot of your handmades too!

It is hard to fathom that Christmas is just on the horizon and November 1 is really close at hand. I look forward to what you have planned for a theme this year!

    1. The big witch shoes are all sold out. I look all over for interesting items. The place I got them was a wholesale place in the Midwest. Still working on handmades for Christmas...and hope I get done in time. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such sweet comments. Janice

    1. Thanks a bunch! Yes I plan my room out months in advance. Drawings and spreadsheets and wish lists of what I want to purchase. A lot goes into it, but worth it in the end. Janice

  13. Many of the big stores are lacking in Halloween decor because of the shipping issues. Your store proves that small businesses, mom and pop stores, and such are the answer! Look at how much fun and creativity are on your shelves. Shop local! Witch area is fabulous!

  14. Yes the small shops can be more creative than the big box stores. I love design and love creating and hope that our customers will continue to shop amid the growing recession that is coming. I did have one wholesale shop I purchase from go out of business now, and they were in business for 20 years. So sad, while the big box ones get even bigger. I knew you would like my witch room!
