August CupboarScape

Howdy Friends.

As Summer winds down August most reminds

me of blue skies and yellow sunflowers.

The Bluejays are back squawking daily now.

Some of trees in the neighborhood are turning.

Could this be a sign of a bad Winter?

This is my latest crock.
A true beauty!
It seems it was most everyone's favorite treasure
I took home from my antique treasure trip.
So I now am using it in this month's cupboardscape.
The rug came in second place for most favorite.

This is the mustard pantry box I also recently purchased.

Added  one of my blue pantry boxes.

Then I added faux blue hydrangeas
and my happy sunflowers.

Up close of my blue check
Linsey Woolsey blanket.

Linsey Woolsey blanket.
Both are wool.

A simple August display to remind me
that Fall is just around the corner.

Have you begun your Autumn decorating?

I know I have!

Summers Almost End Blessings To All!

  1. Your new crock is just so pretty! I also love that blue pantry box with the wooden handle. I have never seen one of those and what a treasure. Your end of the month gathering is lovely and it does hint that colors of nature are indeed changing as September arrives. My fall decorating will get underway with September’s arrival , although we are heading into the peak hurricane season now and it is very hot and humid. however, the Witches are restless in the box and I think they will be out by the end of the weekend. They have had all the sleep they can stand!!

  3. Everything is lovely...all my favorite colors! And yes, even in this heat & humidity, I had to pull out a little pumpkin to put on my foyer table...my favorite time of year is around the corner, YAY!

  4. Yes, that stoneware is a great find...the design is amazing.... But I am equally in love with the pantry boxes. I fear it is going to be a bad winter.... Heaven knows, I hope I am wrong, but it's what I'm seeing and feeling. I did sneak out just a very few fall-ish things...very, very, few as I do not intend on doing my full scale decorating this year. No one will see it other than me and that a lot of work to self-indulge. But I can't resist a few.... ~Robin~

    1. Is the Mr Crow not there. No one comes by my house either, so I just enjoy doing for myself. Janice

  5. The pantry boxes are my favorite. I am ready for Fall, but it’s too early for me to decorate. Have to admit, I am thinking about it.

  6. What a sweet display! Your faux's look so REAL! I do have my two pumpkin men up already outside. They are wooden cutouts done in the prim style. But...inside I just lost my gumption or something.

  8. I still have some red white and blue items to put away until next Summer! I'm thinking about fall decor but haven't put any out yet. I'll wait until September. Your display is lovely. I just love blue anything! My son made the same comment about having a bad winter! I hope you're both wrong! HA!

  10. Did you just change your blog background? I love how light and airy and happy it looks and your photos really are showing up well. I'm not ready for fall (much as I'm struggling with this week's heat and humidity!). I don't mind fall but the me it signifies a precursor to winter and I just can't even imagine going there now! I loved the things you shared -- especially the lovely checks! I keep thinking I should get out at least a little bit of fall before I head back north for September but I can't seem to make myself do it!
