On The Move

How is your day going?

                                                               Well it started.

Bob wants me to start clearing out the kitchen.

This little bucket bench will no longer be there.

I decided it would be just perfect in the living room.
No buckets on it, but a nice display nonetheless.

I had this empty corner where it now resides.

Now if this haze was a picture taken from our store,
I would think it was a ghost.
However it is just the sun getting in the way
from the window to the left.

How often do you see an intricate stool like this one?
It sits on top of another stool.
I purchased this beauty from a vendor in our store.
We currently have 27 vendors.
Full of wonderful goodies.

Speaking of ghosts,
Now one of our vendors contacted us Sunday night
to tell us she saw a shadow in our store.
Her and her husband were working on their booth.
They heard noises in the back and when she
walked back to turn on the light,
she saw the shadow by a cabinet.
Bob needs to check the camera
to see if he can see anything on it.
We do have ghosts in there, so could be.

Do you believe in ghosts?

On The Move Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. I love the ghost stories! Yes I believe in ghosts. I grew up with my Greek relatives telling stories, reading coffee grounds, telling fortunes, reading palms. I lovingly refer to them as my crazy Gypsy relatives! It would be interesting to see if the camera caught anything. Good luck on your kitchen!

  4. I've heard that ghosts who haunt houses and buildings are spirits who are not at peace. Maybe that why we pray "May they rest in peace" when someone dies... I hope I never encounter a ghost. I know that there are evil spirits who are demons. They are up to no good... St Padre Pio had encounters with them.

On an other subject, I love the big crock too.
I can't wait to see your new kitchen.

  7. That's a pretty stool. Yes, I most definitely believe in ghosts. We've been living in our house for 21 years and we have had many things happen too numerous to mention from sightings, overturned objects, noises, moved objects and on and on. It isn't scary though just something we've gotten used to.

    1. Thank you. Wow, we have a ghost in or own home that use to turn my son's tv on when he lived with us, but nothing since he left. Glad your ghost is not scary as some can be. Janice

  8. I'm a believer although I've never encountered one. I, too, love the crock! The little stool is darling, I've never seen one so intricate. Have you mentioned what kind of windows you are installing? We are looking for new windows, the ones we have are over forty years old, twelve over twelve true light windows. Such a pain to clean! But I love the look. Our other option is to find storms that go over the windows that don't need to be put on and taken off every season. Our existing storms are that way and my husband is getting too old to be up on a ladder every spring and fall! Jan in MA

    1. Thanks Janice! I have never seen such an intricate stool myself either, that's why I bought it when I saw it. I believe it is Victorian, not primitive, but I so love it! We are getting vinyl windows with grids on the top. Wallside windows is the company doing ours. They will be Anderson windows. Ours will come with the screens too. Janice

  9. Janice, how exciting (if it is a good ghost). I don't entirely say that I am a true believer, but sometimes the dog looks at something that isn't there, and it makes me wonder. I would like to see one up close and personal then I would know for sure. Love the little stool and the bucket bench..Happy Spring and stay well..xxoJudy

    1. Nothing was caught on camera, so not 100% sure she saw something. We have caught other spirits though on or cameras, so we do have proof that ghosts are in or store. Hubby and I have both felt cold spots in or store, and went to the cameras and saw orbs near us. Janice

  10. I love that little stool and your collection of wooden mallets(?) I am not sure what they are really called. Anyway, they make a wonderful display.

A ghost you say? I can't say I have ever had any experience. I do love ghost stories around the Halloween celebration and decorations.

    1. Hi Winnie. The mallets are potato mashers. Can you imagine having to mash potatoes with these in the day? I will have to remember this during the spooky season to tell more of our ghost stories. Hope you are having a great week. Janice

  14. I have encountered ghosts. I don't often tell of it, because some people will think you're crazy if you speak of it! Wow! I didn't know your store had 27 vendors. That is a lot, and what a gift to the community to have that much choice.

  15. I don't think you are crazy Holly. Yes our antique store has 27 vendors. Our gift shop has 4 consigners who also bring items in for sale. We were voted number one business in our town a few years back, so that was quite an honor for us and we are so grateful for our customers who support us. Janice
