Winter Carrots

Boy this time change is kicking my butt.
It is 10:00 already and I feel like
I have not done anything yet....
just took my FIL to the grocery store.
Worked on taxes for hours after
the stores closed last night.
Bob neglected to keep up the inventory.
Now we have to do the whole year
for both stores
NOW
UGH

I decided to make a pillow
at the last minute for the gift shop.
I always remember gramma H planting
winter carrots...which made me create this one.

I hand sewed two carrot pieces together,
turned right side out.
Added green wool for the tops,
then sewed to the green fabric.

Oh yeah, I added the wool strip
behind each carrot too.

Stuffed with rags for the old fashion look.

Today I desperately need to do laundry.
Desperately clean my house.
Desperately take a nap this afternoon.

What are your plans for today?

Winter Carrot Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. It's so Easter-y and cute! The time change kicked my butt, too, but it's worse when you get a lousy night's sleep like I did.

  4. Very Cute! I hate taxes ... I still need to round up all my business paperwork for our income taxes. I promise myself each year I will be more organized. Then I buy something here and there, receipts, no receipts...it's a mess! I still have a month...ahaha...give or take a few days.

  9. I am NOT a fan of DSL...at all. Until it changes back, I feel like I have been cheated each night (morning?) out of an hour of sleep LOL. At least you have started your taxes...me, not so much. I so procrastinate and find everything and anything to do BUT taxes....hey, maybe I will make a carrot pillow. ;-). Seriously...your pillow is sweet.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (PS...I am not rude in not replying to your sweet comments on my blog, but, for some reason, yours are the only comments that do not come to me in email form...and I can't reply to comments on my blog. Not sure why this is....)

  10. I HATE DSL. Hmmm...not sure why you cannot comment to me. No worries. Lots of my blogging friends I am not able to reply back to, so that's why I just reply back on my actual post. Janice
