I wanted to create a CupboardScape

Like my bear claw quilt piece.
The colors are great for Halloween!

Am so looking forward
to passing out candy soon.
Love seeing all of the kiddos dressed up.
We pass out candy at our store as we
do not have any kiddos in our neighborhood.

Do you pass out candy where you live?

Witchy October Blessings To All!

  2. I love it! Well, we buy candy, but we live out in the country a bit we usually get a handful of kids. I big the "big" candy bars from the $1 store rather than a whole bag because then I eat what is left over....and I don't need to....wink, wink.

    1. Thanks Jacky! I had fun creating this display walking around the house and gathering up things. Sounds like a good plan with the candy bars...especially being able to eat them yourself. WINK WINK Janice

  3. Since moving out of town, no trick or treaters stop by. Even when we lived in town, as the kids grew up and left our street, fewer and fewer came, until it got to be where you'd see cars stop at the end of the street and then continue on. I guess one light on the block wasn't worth going down the street.

But I still keep a bit of candy on hand just in case. Yeah, that it - just in case. That's my story and I'm sticking to it :-)

  4. I forgot to add I like your display - Halloween mysterious without being juvenile cute or icky gory.

  5. Ohhh, I love this spooky Withy potion corner!! Yes, I look forward to decorating my porch and handing out candy. Some years we get lots of children and others not so much. But I put on my witch costume, light a grouping of stone and real jack-o-lanterns and relive the magic of Halloween that I loved so much as a child!

  6. Your Witchy display is wicked!!! You did a good job.
We used to have lots of kids in our neighbourhood, now there are no kids and no one comes to the door anymore.
I lost a lot of my Halloween decorations in last year's flood and I couldn't be bothered to replace my decorations. This year, I decorated my buffet with Autumn decorations. Maybe next year, I'll do better.

  10. Janice, pretty scary and wonderful things, Oh My! Yes, we give out to about 200 or so kids each Halloween. I love seeing the costumes too and the little ones. We probably will lose our power sometime tomorrow, but they can't tell us for sure right now! What a pain and thanks for your visit...Happy Monday..xxoJudy

  11. We don't have trick or treaters out here in the country but we go into town and see our Grandkiddos costumes and then head to our other son's house and help him hand out candy. We love to see all the littles in their costumes. You know by now that I love this time of year and holiday. When I was in Chicago visiting these past few days I hit our favorite resale shop and bought a new witch and some really cute witch shoes that are sitting on the hearth with a witch broom! Love it and your display is fabulous...very "witchy"!

  12. Oh how neat! I us to decorate my old house to the hilt, including the basement with a Halloween tree because I had an annual Halloween party for friends and family. I stopped that tradition when I moved to the river, but a friend out here has a party each year now. Would love to see your new witch and shoes. Janice
