Summer Living

Happy Thursday my friends!
Well last evening we went to dinner
with my daughter Michele and the grands.
My grandson Mike will be 16 in August and Michele is
looking for a car.
Mikayla is 12 going on 18 and talking about boys.
Geez where did the time fly?

Bob and I were just saying that Summer just began,
but we think it is half over already...
only because the days are getting shorter
and next week is July.

A turtle was spotted the other day laying
eggs in my neighbors yard across the street.
One usually lays them in our yard...
but this year our yard is like walking on a sponge.
If she tried to lay them in our yard,
they would not make it...just too much water.

We need
S U N S H I N E
and lots of it.

Today am showing pics of our living room.
Hope you enjoy even though the pics
are a bit dark.
Not sure what happened?

This is our ceiling light.
I wanted the medallion as it reminded me
of the plaster ones gramma H had in her farmhouse.
I do notice the cobweb now.
Have to get rid of them. UGH. Oh well.

Summer Living Blessings To All!
Janice

  2. What Lauren said. I have similar decorations of cobwebs around my house too, as well as wool dust.

  6. Hi Janice. Your home is lovely. That picture of the man with the banner hanging over it caught my eye. I have a few frames just like that but when we bought them, I took the original pics out (I didn't want those old people that I didn't even know) what a dummy. You can always make up a good story if you want to!! and they look so good. Very prim and proper. Thanks for your visit. The morning glories are growing by leaps and bounds. Can't wait until they bloom. They are supposed to be large and blue so we shall see. I have had trouble in the past when I tried to plant the seeds. Was always told to score the seeds with a razor blade. You know how tiny those seeds are!! So I just put them in the ground and they never caught hold. These, I soaked in water for 24 hours and they sprouted right away..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy

    1. THank you Judy! That man looks so much like my brother its ironic. I was drawn to him and purchased him. He holds a place of honor in our home, as we believe he saved our home from a fire...long story. I will tell it again at Halloween time. Hope your morning glories bloom. Janice

  7. Your livingroom looks very inviting and lovely. I like that ceiling medallion and the chandelier.
I think the little spiders works hard to make those cobwebs and I'm never in a rush to take them down although, I'm not fond of the spiders themselves.

I worked all afternoon in the mist. I pulled all that tall couch grass and the mosquitoes didn't even bothered me, I couldn't believe it.
I hope that you get some sun soon to dry things up, that sounds like you got a lot of rain.
Take care and thanks for leaving a comment on my blog.
    Hugs, Julia

    1. Thank you Julia! The medallions reminded me of my gramma H's and that was why I wanted them. I have them in every room of the house. Glad you were able to get your grass out. Janice
