Good morning everyone.
Hope at some point you took the time
to remember why we have this holiday.
Freedom should not be taken for granted.
I did decorate some patriotic displays....
and of course had some bbq's.
Although it rained each day,
it stopped long enough for me to grill outside.

Did you know that eucalyptus
is a natural spider repellant?
[green plant]
They hate the smell of it.
Although mine in this display
are faux and not real....
when Autumn comes,
I lay sprigs of the real stuff near my windows.
I don't want them back inside.
Today just a sneak peek of
my blue and white bedroom.
Being of French descent on my father's side,
I fell in love with this French Enamel Pitcher.
This display is on the side
where our closets are.
Well looking outside it looks like
I will have a rainy commute today.
I am fortunate though...
no devastating tornadoes like
in the midsection of our country.
I heard there were 231 tornadoes
in just ten days.
Crazy weather.

DeleteBusy weekend here! Pug reunion in Columbus (2+ hrs away) Saturday, I did a little cookout Sunday and went to one yesterday.

DeleteThanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'm so glad to learn that eucalyptus is a spider repellant. I have some little jumping black spiders that comes into my little washroom by the deck and they always give me the shiver. I don't like them at all.

DeleteWhile you have rain, rain rain, we have blistering heat and NO RAIN!! This year, we are way off our normal May weather patterns. The fire danger is high right now so we keep praying our usual summer afternoon thunder storms kick in.

ReplyDeleteLove your sweet display and that enamel pitcher!! Did not know that about eucalyptus! Isn't is funny that we love the smell but spiders hate it?? Good to know!! Sorry you are dealing with all that rain and so very sad about all those tornados!
We have actually had some wonderful weather here in AZ which has been extremely unusual for this time of year, but things are heating up now and will be for the next 3 months! Triple digits are on the way!! Thank God for AC!!!

DeleteWell, I knew there was a reason I liked Eucalyptus LOL.... I really don’t mind spiders....unless they are big and hairy LOL. We didn’t do much this weekend...seems the days just slipped away. Sunday we did go up north to a friend’s and went out to dinner with them, and Sunday was just a complete wash-out, so I played with my floss and wool. ~Robin~

I do enjoy antique browsing and here in Ohio and in our neck of the woods there are a few worth checking out. We got the rain but not the terrible tornados..it's a mess down south of us.
