Snowman Wishes

Hello sweet friends.
Today's post is
Snowman Wishes.
Wishing that the snow would stop.
We had 7 inches over the weekend.
Another two overnight.

So wish that groundhog would have been wrong.
6 weeks more of snow..yuck.

I spent the weekend not doing much,
except for finishing my latest rug.
I drew the pattern myself.
Muted colors of tans and a bit of blue.
Holly leaves in shades of green.
His nose made from cheesecloth aged in orange.

I hooked 1809 because according to
American legend, it was the year 1809
when the first snowman was built here.

Not quite sure what I will do with him now
that it is finished.
I do like how it turned out though.
Would like to make another rug...
need to draw an image and purchase more wool.
Also need to get back to making bunnies...
and finishing some other WIP's.
{never enough time}

I still have my coughing spells,
but seem to be getting better each day.

Well off to work I must go.
It's a cold one out there...4 degrees actual.

What are your plans for this Tuesday?

Snowman Wishes Blessings To All!

  1. I've had enough of winter and we've not had nearly as much snow as you. Hopefully that dang groundhog was wrong.
    Sweet little snowman.
    Be safe out there!

  3. Janice, your snowman rug is wonderful and I love how you signed it 1809 for t he first recorded snowman in your area! You show plan a show here in Florida. This week's highs are in the mid 70s for the first time since December. Signs of Spring are happening too with the flowering trees and shrubs showing blooms here and there. Hope that cough eases off soon, you had an awful case of the Flu! Stay warm and have a great day!!
