Winter Trees

Happy Wednesday everyone.
The week is almost over already.
Valentine goodies are in the store.
I made lots of hearts this year,
and the few pillows I showed on my blog.
Now it's time for my favorite fellow.
B U N N I E S
Bob reminded me Monday that I better start working
on bunnies for our show at the end of March.
So start making bunnies I did.
First I made pudgy carrots, then a funky bunny.
Will show more later.

Our ice situation is still the same.
No relief.
The Canadian Coast Guard has joined in the effort....
so hopefully the ice will go into the lake soon.

Today I wanted to show you more of my Winter.
Just a few plain trees I kept up.

A feather tree in a crock.

Another one in a basket.

More faux berries inside.

Then there is my other tree.
Lights still on.
This will be transformed
into my Valentine tree this year.
Stay tuned.

Unfortunately we are back to frigid weather.
The weekend we are being told,
will be back in the 40's.
Rollercoaster weather for sure this year.

Has the weather in your neck of the woods
been weird this year?

Winter Tree Blessings To All!
Janice

  1. Yes, the shows sneak up on us, don't they. I saw something on the news about the ice being bad on the great lakes and I thought about you and your ice issues and wondered how it was going. Good luck.

    1. Ice is still a problem. I am afraid in the Spring it will be worse though if it all tries to melt at the same time. The lakes are all bad right now, and it when it thaws that it will all come down our way. Keeping our fingers crossed for a gradually warm up so it takes its time unthawing. Janice

  4. Love your decor, Janice! I’m drawn to that sweet smaller wall cupboard! Hope the ice situation is resolved soon. Our weather has been all over the place too. A lot of -20’s at night and this weekend it’s going up near 30* again!

  5. It is hard to imagine Easter is just around the corner right now! Even here in Florida we are having night temps in the low 20s for the next few nights! I look forward to seeing the bunnies when they emerge with their spring carrots!!

  6. Hi Janice, it has definitely been a cold one. Our furnace stopped working 2 weekends ago, it was -30°C with the windchill that weekend. We survived! Just a few days later we were up to 9°C. Waiting for Springtime. Stay warm and enjoy making your bunnies.

    1. Our furnace was constantly running and the temp was only at 52. We were getting a bit worried. So glad your furnace is back to running. Not good to have it out in this kind of weather. Janice

    1. We were suppose to go down to Florida in January, but changed our mind. We are still on the fence about Feb. Glad you made it back safe from your trip. Janice

  10. We here in California don't have your frigid weather but we have had our share of troubles with fires and mudslides. Right now we have a small rainstorm passing through but the best part is the snow that is anticipated in the Sierras. Spring can't be far away if you are planning Easter bunnies.

  11. Love those trees! I hope with the warmer 3 days ahead breaks up more ice on the river. I plan on spending a good part of the day outdoors.

  12. Unfortunately the rain will cause flooding because the ice will not melt as fast. We are really hoping for a slow thaw.....with no rain. We are worried this weekend because of the rain forecasted. Keep us in your thoughts. Janice
