Giving New Life

Good evening sweet blogging friends.
Wel we had a bit of that dreaded "S" word yesterday morning.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Although this post is not very primitive, I wanted
to feature what hubby Bob has done lately.
This post is about giving new life to things
 that others would throw out.

Bob found this metal table.
He created a drawer and made the butcher block top.
The cart is on wheels.

I decided to display this piece as a kitchen island.

A perfect prep space that could easily be wheeled
to another area to be used as a buffet table.

Then Bob made this.

Again just a wire frame that was in bad shape.
Bob painted this black and added the wood top.
He also added these Vernor's Soda crates
that can easily be taken out for storage.

I see this in a farmhouse look living room
as a side table.
Add a lamp to the top, with an ironstone pitcher,
and an ironstone bowl filled with white pumpkins,
and your favorite Autumn candle.

Bob wanted to decorate it for a man cave though.
If it does not sell right away...I will change it up. LOL
We always have this contest between us to see what sells
faster in our displays.

Who do you think will win this one?

Giving New Life Blessings To All!

  1. Love them both, Janice! I think you should keep the "Man cave" shelf..it would hold all of your sewing needfuls quite nicely! I love the island....
