Hello friends.
Today I just wanted to share some
previous year's Spring photos.
Hope you enjoy.
Tundra says:
"Thanks for stopping by."
In other news,
Thursday was a rainy day which was
good for me to catch up on my tv shows,
and stitch a bit.
The only other sound was the deep bellows
of the freighters in the river.
Each time they reached a buoy,
they would announce their presence
by sounding off their horns.
I can hear this for miles each way.
Friday I met my grandson for lunch.
Unfortunately when I saw him,
he had his hand in a sling.
He broke his hand at work. UGH
Waiting to see the hand surgeon now.
Saturday met my sister at my mom's.
Her first time being there after my
brother and I cleaned everything out.
She said this is overwhelming.
"Ya think?"
She did not even do the worst part of it.
We spent 2 hours there and she only
took a few things.
She did not have time.
I told her it would take a few days for her
to go through things.
Guess she did not believe me.
However she still thinks my mom will
be able to go back home.
She is still in denial.
Now she thinks my mom is only depressed
and still does not have dementia.
Sunday I caught up on cleaning and laundry.
Stitched a bit.
Today am taking Bob to get his new eyeglasses.
We might go to lunch or come back home to eat.
Hope everyone enjoys their new week.
Mine looks to be a busy one again.
I thought I was retired. LOL
Monday Mish Mash Blessings To All!

It's so nice to see Spring at your place! I took down Easter and put up Spring here last week too. (No snow here yesterday but it sure was cold.)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your grandson, he's had it hard lately.
I think your sister is in denial.
Yes - this being busy when retired is so true!
So many wonderful things to decorate for spring.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are having to be the one to deal with your mom and that your sister is in denial. Families are so hard.
I find being retired we are busier than ever before.
Cathy
Retirement is busier than working…lol!
ReplyDeleteHopefully your sister’s denial won’t go on forever. She needs to face reality.
Prayers for your grandson.
Love all the past spring decor.
Sorry about your grandson's injury. My favorite picture was Tundra peeking out from under the table.
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny planter / pot. That is so cute. :-) I have never seen anything like it, love it!! Is it plastic?
ReplyDeleteSending a hug!! I do pray your sister will "get it" so things will move along more smoothy for you all.
Sorry to hear about your grandson, sending him a hug too.
xo
I think I am busier after retirement than before. Weird how that is.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, your spring displays look like the pages of a magazine. Just beautiful. Nice to live in the midst of American history.
ReplyDeleteThe bellows of the freighters on the river must be a nice sound. The only thing close, were the fog horns. I could hear them at night on occasion from the distance. Oh and once I lived near the train tracks and I enjoyed hearing the trains at night. So nice!
I'm busier now than I have been in a long time but did go through a stretch trying to find what works for me. My husband had an adjustment but has now settled into a nice routine of meaningful activity. But the thing about retirement, we can always say no.
So enjoyed seeing all your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your grandson broke his hand.
Yes, sounds like your sister is in denial!!
Love these displays. Most retirees wonder how they ever had time to work!
