A Tad Bit Of Halloween

Cannot believe it is the last day of September.

Here is one of my Halloween displays.
Just a small one with my happy jack.

I added fall sprigs
into my sewing spools.

A leaf garland to my checkerboard.

Not much Halloween this year at home.
Will have an October CupboardScape
just for Yaya.
She knows what that will be.

Today is my mom's 86th birthday.
Happy Birthday mom!

Just The Beginning

Of the many Halloween displays.

Bob made this Haunted sign.

Theses sugar skull mason jar glasses
just came in on Friday.
A backordered item that I forgot about.
They are in purple and orange with the straw
and metal sugar skull lid.
Fright this way sign is a metal one.

Don't you just love this skull
coming out of the pumpkin.
The happy pumpkin is a favorite
 in both orange and white,

This thinking skeleton on the pumpkin
has been a favorite too!

Bob also made the EEK sign.
Remember my framed art.
Both have been hits with our customers.
(we keep making more of all)

The entire display I just changed up
yesterday morning from Fall to Halloween.
You will see this when you walk in the door.

More displays to come.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I want to thank you all for
your sweet comments.
This is my busy season and I find it hard
to try and get everything done...
especially my blog and commenting.
I do appreciate your comments though.
It keeps me going.

Fall Back

 In our back room.

Welcome friends!

I paired my decor with my pears.

Browns and yellows.

A wider view.

Myprim yarn winder.

Bucket bench with crocks.

Plus my fabric kitty
in shades of autumn colors.

My crock lamp.

So love cozying up in our
back room for Autumn.

At night Bob and I lie
on our sectional couch.
Each of us has a place to lay.
We watch a bit of tv...
Bob falls asleep and then I wake him
to go to bed. LOL

Do you have a favorite place to cozy
up in for Fall?

Autumn Equinox

 Hello Friends.

Welcome toAtumn!

Today I wanted to show you
ways to decorate without
using the normal oranges.
Like this memories pillow with a red border.

I crocheted this afghan in the 80's.
Still love the colors of Autumn in it.
Paired with a white fabric pumpkin and dried cranberries
in a wood bowl.

Makes for a nice Autumn entrance.

Next add more white pumpkins with red apples.

Some red faux leaves.

Kept my red linsey woolsey blanket
in the basket for another nice Autumn display.

So you see friends,
Autumn can be red in color too!

Hope you are enjoying this almost first
day of Autumn.

Falling Into Fall

I am loving the cooler temps here in Michigan.

I am bringing out the quilts
for decorating and adding to the sofas.

The colors fit perfect for my items
in my collection.

Just adding a few things.

To change up my look.
Like this reproduction coverlet piece.

Thinking outside the box to add this garland.

Using these boxwood wreaths
that we aell in our gift shop.
So love the color of these!

Changed my red bowl out for my orange one.

In other news.
Tundra is growing.
I had to take him to the vet yesterday.
We thought he broke his front leg.
Being a maniac puppy,
he was running in the yard at top speed
and tumbled over and over.
Then started screaming and crying.
It was heartbreaking.
So glad he just sprained it.

Then yesterday we had a fawn in our yard.
We have no idea how it got in there
as our yard is fenced in.
The mom was pacing back and forth on
our neighbors side.
Bob went out to open the gate to let it out,
and it scared him so bad, that he
crashed right through the gate.
Luckily the latch popped open
and he did not break his neck.
I watched it happen from the window inside.

Hopefully our weekend will not be so crazy.
Once again Tundra and I will be
at our gift shop both days.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

September CupboardScape

Good morning friends!

Cannot believe it is mid September already.

This time of year the flies and gnats
are a pain in our area.
Thus I decided to add my shoo fly in this
cupboardscape.

More drieds added to my French enamel pitcher.

The crows are also squawking a bit more lately.
We sell these crows in our gift shop.
They have been a good seller.
Only one large one and one small one left.
This is the large one,
which I decided to keep for myself.

Farmers are reaping their harvests.
Bob made me this corncob tree
a few years ago.
I still love it!

I also decided to keep up my gold check
linsey woolsey blanket.
Don't often get to display it,
so it stayed up again for this cupboardscape.
Love the colors of September!

Hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temps.
I know I am!

Autumn Is In The Air

WOOHOO it's the weekend!

Plus my favorite time of year.

For my Autumn decor
I decided to use more drieds.

At least I tried.
Did mix in a bit of faux looking drieds too.

Like these leaves above.

Added in this fabric heart in the mix

of gourds and artichokes.

What will you be doing this weekend?

Tundra and I will be working the gift shop

this weekend.

C'mon in if you can.

Double Vision

Good morning friends!

So for those who have followed along with me,
will realize they are seeing
these hooked mats again.

I originally debuted them on my
Christmas tree.

Whilst adding in my Autumn decor,
I noticed they fit perfectly on my firkins.

Such pretty colors for Autumn too!

A wider shot, but a bit dark.

Had to turn the light on,
which caused the shadow.

This is the light turned off .
I have a bigger matching one in the center
of our living room.

Love it when I can change things up
to make a whole new display!
