Mantle Up

Hopefully all my friends here are all doing alright.
Yesterday Bob and I decided
to finally tackle our very messy attic.
We managed to clean out a quarter of it.
It was easy because it was the side full of junk.
Well stuff we no longer needed.

Afterwards I worked a bit on my lil witch.
She is partially clothed.
Three of them that is.

Today I would like to share
my Spring mantle.

This red box that my medicine bottles are in,
actually is from an old carpenter's trunk.
The insert (box) was most likely
 used for nails and screws.

More of my palm artichokes and  regulat ones.

The entire mantle....but I thought
it still needed something.

So I decided to add one of my hooked houses.

Much better.

If I only had two more pewter plates
to add to each side.
Oh well this will have to do.

Homemade chicken enchiladas
were yesterday's dinner.
Tonight it will be Shrimp Spaghetti.
Grilled zucchini and yellow squash
added with italian dressing instead of
spaghetti sauce...a lighter version.

Oh and I also made chocolate chip cookies.
Its been a long time since
I have made a batch of those.

What did you do over the weekend?

    1. Thanks Janet! Bob and I are doing well so far. I need to keep him away from the store as folks who know him keep coming in. Not so good and I give it to him all of the time. Janice

  4. Sweet mantelscape.... I had. To laugh about the 2 more pewter plates.... Three pewter plates have been the backdrop on my mantel for many, many, years now and are about the only "constant" that doesn't get moved or changed out with the seasons or holidays. Mmmmm....I've been hungry for homemade chicken enchiladas...have been meaning to make it for some time now and just haven't for some reason. Glad to hear you're doing relatively well... I really should tackle some major clear-outs, but it's harder for those of us who don't find this confinement anything new LOL. ~Robin~

  5. Love your mantle. I have Easter decor on mine. The weekend was filled with being on call and doing a bowel resection on Sunday! I'm sure that's not in everyone's to do list! Ha! Have a good week!

I was able to have at least one walk -- and then it got cold! Lots of reading and some good Brit tv, too!

  8. Love the hooked house, its placement is perfect. Love the pewter placement. Trying to consolidate around here but not working so far, I may have to try working at other project . Would love to work outside this week as I did last week but too much muck. Your blog is a bright spot in a groundhog day lol you and your family stay healthy, missing the ability to stop in.
