Guess what song I heard all season. You got it, Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer! He had a rack, did a lot of damage to my car, but jumped up and ran off.bettyjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00715562655133540047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4814460467409084965.post-72884981267503237372012-01-29T11:34:51.862-05:002012-01-29T11:34:51.862-05:00Whew....close one....or two. But,it truly did hit me - it wasn't me hitting it. Came right across the road and hit me broadside. Yikes....Hope to never have that happen again. They are everywhere around here. They completely ate all our veggies this year in our garden. Mr. P. tried everything to keep them out. Stay safe and have a great week.
AngelaAngelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17994753291659176298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4814460467409084965.post-78644346187682857162012-01-24T10:23:29.925-05:002012-01-24T10:23:29.925-05:00There are alot of deer in my neck of the woods.

While driving my oldest daughter's boyfriend home one afternoon(who btw, I do not like at all) a fat groundhog ran right in front of me and I couldn't do anything about it. I felt absolutely horrible and even turned the car around to see how bad he was hurt and if we could take him to the animal rescue guy. But he was beyond help and I made all the kids in the car say a prayer for him.Tiffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16836392384219475825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4814460467409084965.post-39140226251652163852012-01-24T07:39:01.806-05:002012-01-24T07:39:01.806-05:00I am so glad you are okay and didn't hit the d...I am so glad you are okay and didn't hit the deer. We live in the country and there is alot of woods around and they even come out in day light.
I am thankful you didn't hit the deer because you could have been badly hurt, like one of our friends was hurt when she was driving home from dropping her son off at a friends house. The deer ran right in front of her and she said it happened so FAST, she couldn't stop. She was banged and a broken wrist, I guess form holding onto the wheel, but she felt so bad for the deer. We are all animal lovers so it really to this day it bothers her.

Please be careful out there.
Have a great day.
Prim Blessings,
TriciaHillcresthome Primshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17870766185773491732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4814460467409084965.post-57841326091243583922012-01-24T07:00:20.118-05:002012-01-24T07:00:20.118-05:00Janice~ glad you didn't hit the deer~ so dange...Janice~ glad you didn't hit the deer~ so dangerous~
Well, I have hit them~
One morn at 3:30 am headed to work~ I stopped in the road for an entire heard of them~ one kicked my car but that was it~
Then a couple months later I hit one~ did so much damage to the bottom of my car~ I was ok, but the doe was a goner~
Then a few months ago coming to work had a huge doe run into me~ jumped 1/2 way over the car & hit the passenger side~ ugh, she got to me~ she died as I stood beside her~ still haunts me~ did a lot of damage to my car, but I was ok~
We have so many in our area my husband hunts them, the population needs to go down around here, ruining crops, too many folks hit them with cars, plus afraid of them getting diseased~

so becareful avoid them pretties with your car~ they are a beautiful animal aren't they~ hmmm~ just stunning!!
smiles
TeresaDeppen homestead 1862https://www.blogger.com/profile/00753749390739001434noreply@blogger.com
